Teddy felt like he must have been transported to Mars when he found this place to rest his rump. Following along a small creek he was in awe of the pathways water had found down to join in the larger flow. Small bits of sand can create a beautiful scene when removed over enough time. It's just like with life, you may not realize the impact that you're having but over time you can make a huge difference, even creating something beautiful.

Vietnam Revisited

I posted my Thailand revisited a week ago, which was part of our Indochina backpacking trip in 2017. First part of that trip was in Ho Chi Minh City located in the southern part of Vietnam. In here we explored Mui Ne, which is a beach resort town. It took us hours of long drive before we reached the province. It was quite difficult going here but it was all worth it when we saw every site we went to.

Some of the spots we visited are the White Sand Dunes & Lotus Lake, Fairy Stream, Mui Ne Fishing Village, and Red Sand Dunes. And roads leading to each site were just out of this world. I never thought these spots existed in Vietnam before the trip.

Next time if I visit this country again, I’ll make sure to go to the northern region.

Yellow Sand Dunes, Mui Ne, Vietnam: Mui Ne is famous for its enormous red and white sand dunes. The 'red dunes' (doi hong) are conveniently located north of the main strip, but the 'white dunes' (doi cat trang), 24km northeast, are the more impressive – the near-constant oceanic winds sculpt the pale-yellow sands into wonderful Saharaesque formations..  Mui Ne is a seaside resort located on the south coast of Vietnam, about 4 hours by train to the east of Ho Chi Minh.
