Other things to call our senators about: -       Oppose H.R. 7: This anti-abortion bill passed in the house.  It aims to permanently prohibit the use of federal funds for abortion or health coverage that includes abortion. -       Save the Affordable Care act: The ACA helped millions of Americans gain health insurance.  Sen. Toomey in particular has expressed reluctance to repeal the ACA without having a replacement plan.

ADDITIONAL ISSUES:

#NODAPL The Dakota Access Pipeline will cross the Missouri River less than a mile away from the Standing Rock Reservation. When the pipeline leaks (that’s when, not if – there have already been three pipeline leaks in 2017) it will endanger drinking water and pollute native lands.  Protests to stop the pipeline have been met with police brutality including attack dogs and water cannons.  Call the Army Corps of Engineers civil works department and tell them to stand up to Donald Trump and not reverse their decision to stop the pipeline.

 SHAME REPUBLICANS FOR KILLING PA JOBS PA Sen. Scott Wagner led the charge to cancel a senate vote that would have extended funding for unemployment call centers in PA.  His actions led to the loss of 500+ jobs in the week before Christmas.  Now legislation has been introduced to refund the unemployment call centers.  Shame him into supporting PA jobs this time.
