"Matt Vogel is the worst Kermit" "That implies there were any good Kermits" "BOHOHOHO"
“Where’s Walter in the new muppets”
“ I can’t believe he quit”
Guys, Walter obviously went back to college to get degree in theater. Twin is in his training arc rn
Just like in one piece, duh
Animal hot truther in 2026
We’re a rare breed
THEY are peak homoeroticism but no one wants to talk about it
my dad asked me to draw fozzie bear lol
We should talk more about how Muppets from Space could have been much better if it wasn't rushed and actually released in 2000 instead of 1999.
-it was supposed to be a full blown musical instead of a jukebox musical, with a reprise of "I'll go back there someday" from the first muppet movie and an original song by Ween being composed for the film, both of which were scrapped. To this day this is the only Muppet film, INCLUDING straight to home video or made for TV releases, to not be a full blown musical
-The ending was supposed to be that Gonzo wasn't an alien, but instead the Aliens got transmissions of the Muppet show, worshipped him as their god and shape shifted to look like him. I much prefer this ending because a huge appeal of Gonzo to me and a lot of other people is that he's okay with not knowing what he is and loves being his own weird self. Giving an official answer to his species kinda ruins that. Plus a huge appeal of the Muppets in general is their found family-ness, giving Gonzo an actual family, instead of realizing the rest of the Muppets ARE his family sours that.
-Tim Hill was brought on as director halfway through development to speed things along, while he did write for Rocko's Modern Life and the first 3 seasons of SpongeBob, him as a director...he's mostly known for directing bad kids films. And he cut a lot from the original script and changed the ending.
While it has garnered a lot of fans in recent years, at the time of release it had huge critical backlash and was a box office bomb, killing off theatrical Muppet productions for 12 years until The Muppets (2011) the reason why it was rushed so heavily was because Columbia pictures wanted a G rated comedy to release along with the Adam Sandler film Big Daddy. Had it been released with the original vision in the year 2000 I don't think it would have been viewed so harshly upon release
How critical are you when watching Muppet media?
I am very particular about my Muppet media
I am slightly above my usual standards for media when it comes to the Muppets
My standards are the same as they usually are for the Muppets
I am slightly below my usual standards for media when it comes to the Muppets
I am very lenient about my Muppet media
Hello, I was randomly curious about people's standards for Muppet media's quality. I personally have enjoyed everything from The Muppets with very few exceptions, and I was wondering what the standard as a fandom is! No judgement towards anyone regardless of what they pick ^^
