Figment vs Statler and Waldorf
Figment
Statler and Waldorf
Figment: Journey Into Imagination/Journey Into Imagination with Figment - Epcot Disney World
Propaganda:
"Every Christmas since 2020 he wears a snowflake and Imagination logo sweater"
Statler and Waldorf: Muppet*Vision 3D - Hollywood Studios Disney World, Disney California Adventure (formerly)
Propaganda:
"Waldorf: “Do we have time to go to the bathroom before the next show?” Statler: “We can’t, you old fool. We’re bolted to the seats!” These animatronics are the next best thing to having the real puppets sitting there in the balcony doing what they do best--heckling the Muppets."
muppetvision review: 10/10 this is what 3d was meant for!!!!!! silly goofs and gags!!!!! puppetry of the next level!!!!! the next dimension if you will!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was a charming production with immersive features and will be missed very dearly. it was an excellent demonstration of the capabilities of both 3d AND puppetry and the unique ways they can be used in tandem!!!! in a sense the muppets have always been a sort of 3d film technology... as in they are similar to animated characters but they do exist in a tangible way in our world. is that not the spirit of 3d? to give the illusion of corporeality to an animated figure? and as puppets, the muppets are in fact corporeal and do exist in our world, unlike any characters we see on our screens (or floating in front of them). i guess i'm trying to say the real 3d was the muppets we made along the way <3
