Rava Chegodilu | Murukulu
It’s a crunchy snack from south India. A small shaped round rings, kid's love it and even elders relish it. This hot crunchy snack prepared during festivals and can beserved as Tea time Snack.

Ingredients
4 Cups Upma Rava (Semolina)
1 Cup Green Gram
2 Tsp Red chili Powder
2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
4 Tsp Sesame Seeds
1/2 Tsp Carom Seeds
6 Cups Water
Oil For deep frying
Instructions
Prior we get into the recipe will soak the green gram for 15 Minutes.
In a mixing bowl will take 1 kg (4 cups) of Semolina.
Add 2 teaspoons of chili powder.
Now lets add 2 teaspoons of salt as needed.
Then add 1 teaspoon of Cumin Seeds.
And then add 4 teaspoons of Sesame seeds.
Now add ½ teaspoon of carom seeds and mix them all.
In a pan add 6 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Lower the flame and add the soaked green gram.
Now add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, I am adding it here as I forgot to add it to the semolina mixture.
Now add semolina mixture slowly stirring constantly without lumps.
Then place a lid and cook it onlow flame for 5 to 6 minutes.
Put off the stove now.
Take a pan with oil for deepfrying the Chegodilu / rings.
Mould them like a small rings ona tray or on a lid.
Will now deep fry a few on medium flame for a minute.
Flip and turn them and fry tillgolden brown.
We can see crunchy round rings,crispy and hallow.
We can store them in an air tight containers for about 1 month.
