how do you think a character that switches from being an heir of doom to a muse of doom would work?

i've never considered something like that before! :0

imo, a switched classpect would usually never happen in a normal session. of course, the situations for switching a classpect before the session happens is different, as characters tend to be malleable and grow over time.

i'll assume you mean in-session, though, which creates a really interesting situation. especially with a switch to a master class. i would say a heir ==> muse switch would be possible, since the master classes, especially muse, embody their aspects in a similar way. this would also require a strong personality shift, very likely caused by trauma or an extremely impactful event in this character's story.

i could see an heir of doom being someone mostly consumed by their own suffering and the suffering of others. empathetic, and a good commiserator, but a major downer. a muse is much of the same, consumed by doom, but while heir would be more of a container of doom, keeping it inside themself, a muse inspires their aspect into creation and existence. and with the more literal interpretation of doom as the death aspect, well... i could see this as a spectre of death type figure, in both forms.

this has great potential for a morally grey/ questionable character as well! muses, despite their passive nature, are not guaranteed to be good people, after all.

A Muse of Doom is among those who are masters of energy to influence. They are motivated by others to be a master of caution. (x) The Muse of Doom aims to inspire others and hates confrontation. (x) They are the Outlier Defender, defined by inspiration and caution. (x) Their opposite and inverse is the Lord of Life. They share their personality with no one, as a master classpect. The Muse of Doom would quest on a planet similar to the Land of the Mutable and Doom, reigned over by Hades (God of the Underworld) or Persephone (Dual Goddess of Spring Growth and Decay). The Muse of Doom

The Muse of Doom is someone who is a catalyst and a martyr, they inspire destruction and Doom wherever they go, encouraging fighting and war, and they thrive in misery and chaos. The Muse of Doom is to the point and simple, they’re quite honest with their plans to bring chaos and Doom with them, and to inspire others to harness Doom for their own good.

They know that they must eventually sacrifice themselves and they’re okay with it, they know that they’re not gonna live forever and that whatever they die for is going to be the right thing. The Muse of Doom loves destruction, maybe even taking advantage of their ability to destroy something any chance they get, or maybe they take a slower route and poison something slowly, eating away at the insides so that once they notice, it’ll be too late. The Muse of Doom could be something like an army general, commanding the troops to attack and defend and that it’s okay to die if you die with honour defending yourself and where you come from.

They also might, in the total opposite sense, inspire others to be calm and peaceful, to not indulge Doom and to prevent someone like the Muse from ever existing again. The Muse of Doom could maybe even be both at once, reigning destruction wherever they see fit while also condemning others and telling them to never let someone like themself exist again because one Muse of Doom is already way too many.

how would a session with all lords (but one muse of doom) go?

So I'm gonna go ahead and assume you meant a Muse of Doom in place of a Lord of Doom. If I assumed wrong, I apologize. That being said? Oh boy.

Now Lords all control their aspect directly. Muses inspire with their aspect and encourage others to control the aspect too. That being said, the Lord of Space will directly be able to control the frogs and what parts of them go on into making the genesis frog. The Lord of Time will make this process go by a lot faster. Your Muse of Doom here would be able to inspire the team through the rules. Things like "Hey yeah this rule here has x limitations, but y is a way to wiggle around it, we can get from point a to point b this way," and keep the team encouraged and ready to keep going. Moving onto the rest of the Lords, Mind would be able to control the minds of enemies and make them puppets, basically. Life could control the lives of enemies and make their lives hell if they wanted (things like strep throat, giving them diseases, etc.). Rage would be able to control how hard the enemies hit, working alongside Hope to make the team more ready to fight these easy-to-fight enemies. Blood would be able to control the team's strength as a unit and keep everyone from slipping out of the group. Breath would be in control of how adaptable the team is to changes. Light would control how lucky the team got. And Void would control what secrets were and weren't revealed to everyone.

Literally if any of the Lords turn on the team, you're gonna go through hell. That Muse would have their work cut out for them. If they're all close friends and the Lord of Blood keeps everyone from breaking apart, you would have a pretty good chance of winning actually.

May i please have an analysis for a session with a bard of space, a muse of doom, a witch of mind, an heir of time, a prince of life, and a knight of rage that scratches into a session with a prince of space, a witch of doom, a knight of mind, a prince of time, an heir of life and a prince of time after the bard, muse, and witch die?

Okay, so. This session seems very complicated. I will do my best to give you some valuable input, though! There’s nothing wrong with a challenge every now and again. >:3 So, both the Bard of Space and the Prince of Space are destructive Space players. I don’t think replacing the Bard with the Prince will change the dynamics too much, although I think it will increase the importance of the aspect of Space in your session. See, Bards make a mockery of their aspect, which therefore diminishes their importance. Princes directly destroy and destroy with their aspect. If your players weren’t on their game when it came to frog breeding before the scratch, they’ll have to give it extra attention after the scratch and ensure the new Space player can fill this gap. It’s probably for the best that the Muse doesn’t make it into the new session. A master class player could bring unbalance into your session, and inspiring Doom isn’t exactly what you’d want in a successful session. The Witch of Doom in the scratched session could bend the rules and hopefully undo any damage the unrealized Muse had wrought on your game session already. They make a fine replacement of a Doom player. The Witch of Mind could’ve been important in the first session as they could bend the rules of logic and preparation to make the Bard of Space’s job easier. As they died alongside the Bard, though, I think the Knight of Mind is a sufficient replacement for the Scratched session. The Knight could protect the other players as they assimilated into their new roles in the scratched session. The Heir and Prince of Time would work very well in tandem. The Heir starts with a burdensome amount of their aspect, and the Prince can help alleviate that burden. I think they’d make a fine team. The Heir and Prince of Life have a similar dynamic. I think it’s worth mentioning that in the first session there’d likely be an excess of Time and a lack of Life that would only be brought into equilibrium through the scratch. Finally, the Knight of Rage could be an essential asset to the team. They could bring all they learned from the first session into the second one. Their better grasp on protecting negative emotions (and presumably responding to them correctly) could help alleviate tension and keep morale high in the scratched session. Overall, despite all the stress of a scratched session, I think this would be a pretty successful one! Best of luck, doomy-stuff
