Very sorry to drop a large session on you for your first analysis! But can you analyze a Knight of Breath (Rustblood/Derse), Maid of Rage (Bronze/Prospit), Mage of Time (Gold/Derse), Witch of Breath (Mutant/Derse), Page of Void (Olive/Derse), Maid of Doom (Jade/Derse), Seer of Life (Teal/Prospit), Witch of Heart (Cerulean/Prospit), Prince of Blood (Indigo/Derse), Knight of Light (Purple/Prospit), Heir of Mind (Violet/Derse), and a Rogue of Space (Fuschia/Prospit). Thank you so much.
Knight of Breath (Rustblood/Derse),
Maid of Rage (Bronze/Prospit),
Mage of Time (Gold/Derse),
Witch of Breath (Mutant/Derse),
Page of Void (Olive/Derse),
Maid of Doom (Jade/Derse),
Seer of Life (Teal/Prospit),
Witch of Heart (Cerulean/Prospit),
Prince of Blood (Indigo/Derse),
Knight of Light (Purple/Prospit),
Heir of Mind (Violet/Derse),
Rogue of Space (Fuschia/Prospit)
7 derse, 5 prospit, not a bad balance. You generally don't want to stray too far from even, but this is certainly close enough.
8 active, 4 passive. (knights are active in all the ways that matter so shush) also not a terrible ratio, but not a good one. Starts straying into dangerously unbalanced territory, but should still be fine. (note that being too unbalanced results in a loss of versatility. In an all active session, large foes like the king can become an issue when no one is buffing, and in an all passive session, a player that gets isolated becomes easy pickings.)
This session lacks a hope player, a bard, a thief and a sylph. That's not too bad, especially with the lack of sylph replaced by more maid, and the thief's role approximated by knights. The lack of hope player means no deus ex machinas, and the players are likely to suffer from a case of big sad.
The knight of breath does support, and cleans up what the others can't get to.
The maid of rage makes sure that everyone understands what they're here for, and doesn't get too excited.
The mage of time does time stuff, prevents paradoxes.
The witch of breath makes the breath good. A useful pair with the knight of breath.
The page of void makes sure nothing gets too busy or complicated
The maid of doom kills stuff and produces the big sad
The seer of life helps avoid the big sad, and keeps everyone alive and incredibly wealthy
The witch of heart helps people self actualize and be the best them. They're a cerulean, perhaps with mind control, which could be really damaging if they use their psionics and not their words.
The prince of blood prevents toxic relationships and keeps everyone unrestricted
The knight of light guides and executes
The heir of mind is big brain moment
The rogue of space is frog and speed
Lot of movement, lot of sad.
The session will lack breath and light. With a knight and witch of breath, it should start operating as if it had normal breath levels fairly quickly. Maybe the veil is much closer, so no one can go between the planets, but the knight or witch of breath could blow the soon to be meteors away, and the rogue of space could teleport people, ignoring the close veil.
The players don't know much. Perhaps they started playing sburb accidentally, and all their sprites were useless. The purple and violet will be able to deal pretty well with low light, so that's not a big issue either
The big sad. With maids of rage and doom, there's a whole lot of sad being created. If the seer of life, witch of heart, and maybe page of void don't deal with that early, the session is in danger of just getting too sad to continue. No one would think they could actually achieve their goals, and everyone might just flee to the dream bubbles or initiate an unnecessary scratch. If the seer of life helps people find happiness, the witch of heart helps them find self, and the page of void uses their negation aura wisely, they'll deal with the big sad just fine.
The rogue of space may be helped by the mage if they manage to stop suffering and fussing over paradoxes long enough to be useful, but the knights are likely to help out anyway. No one asked them, but they sure are here. The knight of breath acts as a poor man's time player, collecting frogs real quickly, though not as well as a time player, and the knight of light sits in the background providing advice and probably being smug. You have a good setup for the breeding, and it should succeed without too much fuss, though they might have to take a break to wait for the mage to arrive, or be happy with a cancerous frog, as a time player is probably needed for success.
Pretty even on all of the combat roles. I'll elaborate more on this in further analyses, and you can ask for it specifically if you want me to elaborate on this session, but it's kinda boring for this one, you're just real balanced.
Overall, a pretty likely to succeed session, if they overcome the initial lacks and the big sad.
Thoughts about Maid of Space? And in what way would it differ from Heir fo Space? How their challenges differ?
Also opinion on umbrella as a weapon and how to fight with one?
Ooh maid of space!!! I love maids so much, I happen to be one myself!!!! Alright boys let's get into this it might be a long one.
Maids are often characterized as those who create their aspect, or create through/with their aspect. Aradia creates time more or less as she makes copies of herself throughout paradox space to aid in battles and what not. Jane creates life by healing herself after rbeing stabbed and resurrecting her friends, though that ability is limited. I can speak for porrim, the Canon maid of space, as we never really see her in battle or use her abilities as far as I'm aware. The inverse of a Maid is a Bard, and the opposite the classpect as a whole is a Bard of Time.
Maids typically start off as doormats, relying on others for whatever their classpect may be.
A maid of space may not be very creative or peppy on their own at first, maybe relying on others to start relationships or tell them what to make or draw or wear. I think that's a key difference in Heir vs maid, Maids rely on other for their aspect at first while Heirs are (in a very simplified description) full of their aspect, an Heir of Space would know what they want and be very intuitive and bounce from interest to interest without a care.
Once a Maid of Space starts to develop they'll eventually get their foot in the door and become more.. what's the word... uhhh. Firm in their decisions and opinions. They'll stop relying on others opinions and start going with what THEY think will look or fit best. To quote Dahni, they are very "if there isn't room, I'll make room" types. Porrim is a good example of this in a very physical sense, her sense of style is unmatched. Maids are supposed to become "made" of their aspect so to speak, so much so they cna share the aspect with everyone in their session.
The challenges for each are interesting too! Both have the task of breeding and raising the Genesis Frog to restart the universe with their respective time player, though for Heirs this can possibly be proven difficult as they can become so enveloped and manipulated by their own aspect it can cloud their view. Maids need to become independent and confident in their own aspect, which can be hard with space especially of people look up to them for their creativity when they feel like their are as bland as everyone else? I'm not sure if that makes sense.
As for the umbrella strife specious! I think it'd be a very interesting weapon, one of my own homestuck au kids have it as a weapon!!! I think it can be used both as a direct weapon and As a defense weapon. Opening it could push opponents back while just outright jabbing it could do a good amount of damage. Not to mention if it's alchemized! You could alchemize it with some like a gun, so when everytime you open a bullet is fired out of the tip or maybe a dart, so it can be both melee and long ranged weapons!!! The options and potential are limitless!!!!!
I hope this was helpful!!!!!!! Sorry if the challenge wasn't good I've never talked abt them before but I'm trying to get better! This was fun!!!! :DD
I’m gonna start with Knight of Life because that’s mine, then I’ll go with people i know and then I’ll do other ones. (I’m more likely to do ones that aren’t explicitly described in the comic)
Knight: gender neutral. exploits their aspect as a weapon, usually for the benefit of others. usually uses their aspects in unorthodox ways as well, utilizing what they already have. at the start of a session, a knight lacks their aspect in some way(like dave’s lack of patience). knights have been known to assist in the breeding of a genesis frog. exact abilities are unclear, and lean more towards being an active class. a knight’s session often lacks their aspect in some way(the danscestors’ session wasn’t well planned[lacked mind], the beta session’s reckoning came early[lacked mind], and the beta trolls were divided by their differences and blood color[lacked bonds/blood]) so their duty is usually to compensate for that in some way(dave fixing the timeline, karkat stopping gamzee’s rampage, etc).
Known knights: Dave Strider (Knight of Time), Karkat Vantas (Knight of Blood), and Latula Pyrope (Knight of Mind).
Life: empathy, healing, improvement of self and others, plants. life players are nature oriented and creative.
a Knight of Life would likely have some sort of health condition that negatively impacts their quality of life, such as asthma or EDS. they would also likely lack physical energy. A Knight of Life’s quest would likely revolve around improving their physical condition and restoring life to their land(solving a famine that was harming the consorts or something like that). Their session might be barren, or the other players might lack the energy and/or motivation, and the knight would have to find some way to remedy that(although there’s not much you can do for a barren session). Knights of life would do anything to protect their friends’ lives, even take on serious injuries/conditions or give their own life. this knight would definitely assist in frog breeding, moreso than any other aspect.
Personality wise, Knights of Life are likely realists, seeing things the way they are. they would see a broken system and say “hey, that’s a broken system!” they would not just recognize flaws, but they would be upset by those flaws and do everything in their power to fix them. like any life player, these knights love nature, but their view on it would likely strongly revolve around the desire to protect that nature and/or use it to protect their friends. if you are a knight of life, you probably like hanging out in the woods and gardening, even if you’re not exactly the best at keeping plants healthy or remembering to go outside. you might cry when anyone dies, not just your loved ones. knights of life definitely love animals too, even the ones that could be considered “ugly” by others. nothing makes knights of life angrier than when someone intentionally harms an innocent life/lives.
a Knight of Life’s abilities may include but are not limited to:
-bringing someone back from the brink of death(no resurrection though; knights can only work with something that already exists)
-maximizing someone’s performance, including their own
-increasing cell production(to the extent of making someone develop lots of tumors very quickly)
-curing illnesses
-extending someone’s life beyond the natural span
the extent to which these things could do would depend on the knight’s level, and almost all of them would likely not be available/fully available until they reached godtier. it’s likely that a mortal Knight of Life could heal others, at the expense of part of their lifespan or general health.

this was mostly just for fun, but please feel free to recommend which one i should do next! i’ll probably reformat this later, but i’m too lazy to do it now lol
could i have a maid of space analysis if that is alright? :0 sorry in advance if it was already requested before
maid- fixes and becomes their aspect, active.
space- creativity and literal space.
the maid of space starts off without their aspect. they start off unoriginal, or fitting into a usual mold of people and society’s expectations. however, as time goes on, they’ll slowly begin to realize who they really want to be. they begin to express themselves freely and be who they really want to be. and, as time goes on, they’ll start to heal other’s creativity and help others understand who they are!
May i please have an analysis for a session with a bard of space, a muse of doom, a witch of mind, an heir of time, a prince of life, and a knight of rage that scratches into a session with a prince of space, a witch of doom, a knight of mind, a prince of time, an heir of life and a prince of time after the bard, muse, and witch die?
Thanks for being so patient, my dude!
Okay, so. This session seems very complicated. I will do my best to give you some valuable input, though! There’s nothing wrong with a challenge every now and again. >:3
So, both the Bard of Space and the Prince of Space are destructive Space players. I don’t think replacing the Bard with the Prince will change the dynamics too much, although I think it will increase the importance of the aspect of Space in your session. See, Bards make a mockery of their aspect, which therefore diminishes their importance. Princes directly destroy and destroy with their aspect. If your players weren’t on their game when it came to frog breeding before the scratch, they’ll have to give it extra attention after the scratch and ensure the new Space player can fill this gap.
It’s probably for the best that the Muse doesn’t make it into the new session. A master class player could bring unbalance into your session, and inspiring Doom isn’t exactly what you’d want in a successful session. The Witch of Doom in the scratched session could bend the rules and hopefully undo any damage the unrealized Muse had wrought on your game session already. They make a fine replacement of a Doom player.
The Witch of Mind could’ve been important in the first session as they could bend the rules of logic and preparation to make the Bard of Space’s job easier. As they died alongside the Bard, though, I think the Knight of Mind is a sufficient replacement for the Scratched session. The Knight could protect the other players as they assimilated into their new roles in the scratched session.
The Heir and Prince of Time would work very well in tandem. The Heir starts with a burdensome amount of their aspect, and the Prince can help alleviate that burden. I think they’d make a fine team. The Heir and Prince of Life have a similar dynamic. I think it’s worth mentioning that in the first session there’d likely be an excess of Time and a lack of Life that would only be brought into equilibrium through the scratch.
Finally, the Knight of Rage could be an essential asset to the team. They could bring all they learned from the first session into the second one. Their better grasp on protecting negative emotions (and presumably responding to them correctly) could help alleviate tension and keep morale high in the scratched session.
Overall, despite all the stress of a scratched session, I think this would be a pretty successful one!
Best of luck,
doomy-stuff
a seer is great at bullshitting about their aspect. they can make anyone believe they know what theyre talking about in a heartbeat. a seer is kinda like a horse, anxiety ridden out the ass and fast in the heat of the moment. the heat of the moment is when they do their best shit. seers can appear well put together, but theyre far more fucked up than you can imagine. the poor people are like that one damn string thats held up by pure fucking stress.
Those bound to the aspect of Life are the universe's healers. They are concerned with the betterment of themselves and those around them, as well as the onward march of positive progress. Deeply empathetic, they have an intuitive understanding of other's suffering and the best way of righting those wrongs. If you're poisoned, chances are the Life-bound have something for what ails ya. This applies to both physical and mental suffering, though it might not be a cure you'll like. They also have the tendency to put other's needs before their own, which never ends well for anyone, because the Life-bound can grow bitter if they feel their own self-care has had to be shunted aside. At their best, they are great listeners, caretakers, and nurturers. At their worst, the Life-bound are passive aggressive, and pushy-they're certain they know best.
with passive life players, they tend to stuff down their needs and wants in favor of others. this is especially tru for a seer of life. its not that they dont think their needs are lesser or not important. its the fact that they dont like seeing others in pain far worse than seeing themself in pain. they know that theyll be fine (lol not really.), but cant say the same for others. so thats why the other person is put first. this seer sees everyone elses potential, but not their own. if youre friends with a seer of life, they are likely very optimistic and constantly pushing you in the direction they see best for you. but if you look close at the seer, y ou can see that theyve sort of stagnated. theyre just coasting by at a meh rate while they push everyone they care about to reach above and beyond. it takes a lot to get this seer to see that they can put themself first. that they dont have to be everyone elses life coach. they can be their own. even if you get that though thru their head, theyre just stuck like. what now? i dont see a brighter future for myself. i dont see a Life beyond this. this is as good as its going to get for me. they think theyve achieved the best they can get. it takes a Lot of help from friends and loved ones to get them to understand that they deserve better than this. living in a shitty apartment at a deadend job while having a degree isnt the best they can get. its just the starting point in their adult life. they have so much potential that they can reach out to get if they knew how to properly sell themself like they sell everyone else.
What's your take on the Heir of Space? I'd love to know!
Classpect Analysis: Heir of Space
Active or Passive: Passive
What they do: Heirs allow the manipulation of their aspect or allow manipulation through their aspect. Space is the aspect of beginnings/creation, creativity/art, randomness/variety, process, femininity (& fashion), passiveness, organisms, science (biology, chemistry, physics), space in terms of galaxies & universes, and space in terms of where you are (location) and what’s around you (matter).
Active equivalent: Witch of Space (Jade Harley)
Inverse: Mage of Time
The Heir of Space is someone who starts out passively embodying their aspect and having an abundance of it, often without realizing it. Regardless of whether or not they know it, their aspect protects them. One example would be if this Heir might be naturally live far from others, but this protects them since their neighbors are dangerous people.
With the Heir of Space you get an abundance of creativity. They come up with ideas for any kind of artistic expression and go with them on a whim, changing from one to the other very quickly. They might even recycle their old ideas into their newer projects to make something bigger and better. It’s likely that they have an interest in gardening, fashion design, or some type of artistic expression. In fact, they’re probably interested in many of these activities, since they are prone to shake things up so they have some variety. They’re very quirky and random, not really controlled by a schedule, and have sudden fits of motivation for a new piece or project. They aren’t great at finishing any of their projects, but they enjoy going through the procedure of planning them and just having some fun with them. They might also have some frogs as pets or even wear some galaxy-print clothing.
This Heir might be literally ‘spacey’ in that they have a low attention span and tend to drift into their own daydreams. They could be distant from others because of this. They also often take things as they come instead of worrying about it. Even if they mess up during one of their artistic projects and end up screwing up the whole thing, they can laugh it off and see it as a learning experience, because they see the process as more important than the product.
This Heir may also have an interest in science– physics, chemistry, biology, or even some whack kind of alchemy would be a good fit for them. (Though there is a likelihood they’ll be adept when it comes to genetics, considering their role in the game.) Relating back to what I said earlier about them being able to laugh things off, they’re definitely like that with scientific experiments, too. If something blows up in their face, they don’t care too much. This Heir views the learning process as more important. They might have a journal full of all their discoveries, along with creative– if sometimes unreasonable– theories about what these discoveries mean.
The Heir of Space needs to learn how to take hold of their aspect and consciously use/embody it. Since this is the Space player we’re talking about, this Heir will be breeding the Genesis Frog, a task that won’t be difficult for them. As long as they have a Knight to keep them protected and on track (seeing how this Heir has a habit of not finishing their creative projects), they should be good to go. They should not become overconfident as a result of their powers, and they must be careful not to become too loose on the process of creating the Genesis Frog, since a mistake could very well lead to some fatal consequences. And as they continue in the game, a (healthy) Heir of Space will be less inactive (though still pretty space-y), often reacting to things that happen in the moment and taking the game in stride.
The Heir of Space allows manipulation of Space or manipulation through Space. Unlike their active counterpart (Witch of Space, Jade Harley), who exerts her will so Space will do as she forces it to, this Heir uses their aspect more intuitively and naturally. The Heir of Space allows manipulation of Space, which includes teleporting, growing, and shrinking objects around them to fit the situation. This might show up in a more subtle way, too: everywhere they leap and turn during battle, the places they land and jump off adjust in size and place accordingly so they’re perfectly balanced (but these things transform back to regular size once the Heir has no use for them, unlike a Witch, who does more Space rule-breaking); this is more of an intuitive way that Space protects this Heir.
Space protects this Heir in other ways, too (often via changes in the physical properties of matter). They can teleport to various unoccupied spaces in the blink of an eye. They might even unconsciously do this, like if an enemy is charging at them and they don’t notice, poof! They’ve teleported ten feet away all of a sudden. This power might be bewildering for the Heir at first, but since they’re the type to go with the flow, they’ll probably get used to it very quickly, and once they’re at full power they’ll be able to teleport both with and without conscious effort. And then there’s their growing/shrinking powers, which they can use on themself just like Ant-Man. This will be an unconscious power at first, with this Heir suddenly shrinking to dodge attacks or growing to become more powerful. (Though they are more likely to be shrinking as opposed to growing in the earlier stages of their powers, since I imagine it would take less effort.) But they learn to actively harness that too and use it to their advantage in battle. The Heir of Space might also be able to change their density so that they suddenly become very heavy, making them harder to throw, or light and airy, which helps them jump higher. This can help to determine how quick or slow they are as well. Additionally, the Heir of Space can use their powers to become an amorphous blob. I’m not kidding. Besides changing size, they can change shape, shifting their very cells and framework around so they can dodge objects and enemies. At first it might just be their arm or face warping out of shape in order to get out of the way of something, like this example from the webcomic Paranatural:
But just as they will with their other abilities, the Heir of Space will eventually harness this ability in a conscious way and be able to twist themself out of harm’s way. Besides making them difficult to injure, it’ll also scare the crap out of their enemies.
At first, the Heir of Space unconsciously using their growing/shrinking, teleporting self and objects, shape-shifting, and density shifting will be more confusing to enemies than anything, and the Heir won’t have much idea what they’re doing, instead just letting stuff fly around them and going “Oh, okay. This is happening. Guess I’ll roll with it.” But once they can fully and consciously harness these powers, they can use them to a much greater extent, so they’ll not only be very disorienting to fight, but also very difficult to hit!
Furthermore, the Heir of Space allows manipulation through Space, which includes what I call a ‘gene scramble.’ This Heir’s powers encompass a lot of science-y stuff, considering physics (ex. density shifting) and chemistry (ex. rearranging their atoms). But for biology, they might be able to reach out and shift around the genes of creatures around them, essentially rendering their enemies’ very DNA useless, causing their system to go haywire. How utterly terrifying! It’s likely they can’t tweak very specific genes in a very permanent manner like a Witch can; it’s more like they send a general static shock or ‘gene glitch’ through an enemy.
Heirs also tend to inherit/embody/’become’ their aspect in some sense, so the Genesis Frog they create will likely be more suited to their tastes than that of the other players, though they didn’t plan it to end up that way. You might be thinking: If the Heir can become their aspect to some extent, can they become the Genesis Frog itself? And this is a question I find very difficult to answer. Perhaps an incredibly powerful and fully realized Heir of Space could embody the Genesis Frog to some in a larger extent. (In an especially cruel twist, if the Genesis Frog becomes mutated or dies somehow, the Heir could essentially sacrifice themself by becoming the new universe.) But in a smaller way, the Heir of Space could ‘become’ the Genesis Frog by having a large avatar of the Frog appear around them as a sort of protective shield. Kind of like a giant anime mecha suit, except, well, it’s a frog. Regardless of their power level at the end of the game, though, this Heir will likely have a powerful tie to the Genesis Frog and perhaps even be in tune with its state of being. For example, their teleportation powers are likely strengthened in the new universe they create, since they’re much more familiar with it as a result of their connection with the Frog.
As for a land for the Heir of Space, I suggest the Land of Stars and Frogs. The shining and seemingly bottomless ponds on this planet that the frogs swim in are filled with gleaming stars. The sky is always dark because the denizen knocked all the stars from the sky, and now the frogs stay in the ponds, terrified that the denizen will steal the stars from the ponds too if they leave them. At first the stars seem useless, appearing to be nothing more than shining rocks. But if the Heir can learn to unlock their power with careful practice and concentration, they can send the stars back into the sky, thus allowing the frogs to come back out.
As for weapons, we’ve seen varied weapons for Heirs (hammer, bow & arrow, psiionics) and typically more flashy weapons for Space players (rifle, lipstick chainsaw). The Heir of Space is pretty laid-back, so their weapon might be an everyday object, with their interest in science, gardening, and/or art might playing into it. Paintbrushes, paint knives, pens, any chemistry equipment, a shovel… Go wild. As they continue with their session, they could upgrade to more powerful weapons, especially ones that are effective both upsized and downsized. (Think of John’s Zillyhoo.)
In conclusion, the Heir of Space is an interesting classpect with the potential to become incredibly powerful and nearly unkillable thanks to their powers. Thanks for reading!
I’m so sorry this took so long. I’ve been incredibly busy with schoolwork and the like ^^; nevertheless I hope this was helpful!
