Dear Followers,
I would like to say a warm welcome to our special La Boheme Week, here at Musica in Extenso!
I think that everyone knows the famous story, where Mimi and Rodolfo has a tragical ending. The music of Puccini makes the drama so powerful with a remarcable orchestration and with beautiful musical themes. I decided to begin with the famous entrance of Mimi, because this aria is a basic piece of any spinto-soprano singer’s repertoire.
Today on Musica in Extenso:
Giacomo Puccini
La Boheme, Act I
Si mi chiamano Mimi
Mirella Freni (Scala, 1965)
Enjoy! - Editor-in-chief
