Are You Satisfied? - Mostly Davey but I can kind of see it working for Kathy too

Champaign - I honestly see it for Jack and Race (both of them equally)

I am not a Robot - Davey! Again yay! Mostly because he doesn't really fit in with the rest of the newsies and yk

Girls - I mean technically Katherine but she's a girls girl so really I don't see it working for anyone

Newsies headcanons 🗞

School edition

- Whenever somebody's lying their way out of something, they won't even have to tell each other before they all join in. "Mrs smith, I wasn't even in this corridoor til a second ago."It's true I was here the whole time." And ts just did NOT happen 😭 they're all chronic lyers, but it's okay.

- (modern AU) they're the annoying ahh friendgroup that try to present their work and it takes over 20 mins because they can not stop laughing. (Most likely, Race snuck stupid pictures on each of the slides)

- The amount some duos get into trouble nobody bats an eye anymore when they're called to the principles office over the speaker. (I.e Jack and Blink)

- Blinks/Races the type of guy to bring no actual lunch and raid the corner shop before school and get like 7 bags of sweets

- Davey, specs, and crutchy are prefects, but they let it slide when it's their friends (they get an earful from Davey though)

- Dutchy and Snoddy always put fake love notes in specs locker, and it drives him crazy trying to figure out who they're from

- In Pe they all beg to do just dance and boss it every single time

- due to his disability, crutchy gets to be the 'assistant' in pe and has a massive power trip, he also gets to leave class 5 mins early, and everybody always begs to go with him

- Skittery got referred to an in school therapist because of his attendance. He hates it, but he goes so he can skip lesson

- Albert is in medical every single day because he's so clumsy and they're so sick of him

- Bumlets keeps little breakfast bars in his bag in case anybody didn't have lunch that day

- Mush and Jack always compete for football captain leader (Mush wins and Jack wants to strangle him)

- Crutchy is a "erm technically if the teacher is 20 mins late we can leave." SYFM

- Swifty is always late to class but sneaks in so quietly that the teacher never knows

- Medda is drama teacher and Kloppman is form room teacher.

AGHH YESSS I HEARD! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU FINN! YOU'LL DO AMAZING AND BREAK A LEG DURNING THE RECHALSALS! 😆🤭💕

Mush rarely ever gets sick. He does however easily get cold so his hands are freezing majority of the time. He'll also try to dress as warm as possible durning the fall and winter and his favourite season is spring. In modern au Mush is an expert on thrifting grandpa sweaters that he usually wears from September to June that's his usual attire.

Mush is two years younger then Jack so he's 15 when Jack is 17 and Mush just looks up to Jack so much. They're also really close and Mush is like Jack's younger brother (He reminds him of Michael... I mean what?!)

One of the older newsies who was first in command before Jack took up the position taught Mush boxing and how to efectively throw punches so now none of the newsies pick fights with him (they used to do that when he was younger.)

Autistic Mush, He's sensitive when it comes to loud noises and bright lights. For the other boys he's a bit of an outsiders but they still love him nonetheless. He mostly hangs out with Blink or Jack because Mush doesn't like big groups of people and him and Blink are just the closest of friends who don't see a world besides one another.

Medda taught Mush basics of reading and writing (I believe in Medda is Mush's mother figure supremacy) he's still not the best at it but he certainly knows more then the rest of the boys.

Now Davey took up teaching him and he tells Mush about what he learned at school. Davey teaches Mush history, maths a bit more of English and so on. They usually meet up on Mondays and Mush will spend the evening with the Jacobs.

Also I firmly believe in Mush and Davey being friends. Like they're close because both of them hate loud noises and crowds and are a bit of history nerds. Mush also punched one of Davey's bullies and tried to teach the other how to fight (failed miserably)

ALSO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO WRITE ANYTHING FOR NEWLY A WEEK NOW! AND AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS!

OKAY OKAY OKAY wish me luck I never shipped them (but it seems so cool gosh) Modern because ig I did canon era before.

Blink x Mush

Very intimidating, people are sure they're judging them siliently which they kind of are.

Mush loves to shower Blink with compliments and the other has almost no idea how to react. He gets very blushy (pun not intended)

Blink isn't so quick to show affection through words but he cares about Mush deep down.

They listen to old music together. They sit on a rooftop and listen to music. Or dance. On the rooftop. Just imagine.

They also watch horror movies from the 90's their fav one is Scream. I have no idea why because I never watched it but the ghostwriter in me thinks that's the one.

They both can climb trees so that's where they'll sit sometimes and just talk. Also they go to a forest/park nearby on dates and sometimes have a picnic and sometimes just walk around

They love to ride bikes together idk

I literally know this isn't a lot but I already posted about them once and I'm like 60% there is another request for blush and if there isn't there will be so 💕💕💕

Sprace: captain America (spot) and iron man (Race)

Javid: Jack twist (Davey) and Ennis del mar (Jack)

Blush: curious george (Mush) and the man with the yellow hat (Blink)

Bumswiftery: kiss (Bumlets) marry (Swifty) and kill (skittery)

(Bonus) Crutchie: Ricky potts

MUSH BACKSTORY

Mush was an unplanned child from his mother and father who never wanted children. His parents didn't really take any notice of him. He would have to beg hysterically to get any attention from them at all. They acted as if they were just people who lived in a house together rather than a family.

It drove Mush crazy, all he wanted was to be acknowledged by his parents and to receive love and physical affection. He never got it, they were both cold and isolated people who never seemed to care about or love Mush. Mush never understood what he did wrong.

The neglect from his parents ended up being too much for him, and he left. He was never even thought about again. He started being a newsie after leaving because he found living with his parents, made him touch starved and depressed.

This is why mush is so clingy with his friends, the lack if affection from his childhood drove him to latching onto his friends constantly showering them with love and appraisals because he knows how it feel. His main target is Blink as he knows that he is also a touch-starved child.

Additionally, he adores any type of affection (verbal or physical) and often craves it.

- They both tried out for their high-school football team captain, Mush got it, and Jack was extremely jealous. They had an enemy's to lovers' storyline after that.

- Jack can drive, and Mush can't, Mush has failed his driving test multiple times and gave up deciding he could just rely on Jack

- Mush is a clingy drunk, and Jack is an emotional/angry drunk. Whenever they're invited to parties, they always leave really early because Jack gets really upset about everything, and Mush clings onto him to dear life

- They have matching pj bottoms. Mush has hello kitty and Jack has batman

- Mush posts all of the sappy couples tiktoks (I.e the beauty of her face was beyond my smdest dreams one that's trending rn) and Jack hardly ever posts, but when he does it's only of Mush. They have highlights of each other.

- Mush is extremely popular in school, and Jack loves gossip. Mush always finds out everything that's going on and reports back to Jack, they put on face masks and everything and then just gossip about everyone they know (bonus: Jack is the guy recording the fights but with such shaky hands that it's too blury to watch)

- In PE, when they're put on opposite teams, it's as if they've broken up and hate each other, then moments later in the changing room they're all over each other again

- Mush believes every single AI piece of media he sees, Jack has to remind him that not everything on the Internet is real

- they fall asleep on ft almost every single they're not together

- When Jack gets upset about not being a real cowboy and not living in santa Fe, Mush will pick Jack up and start galloping around pretending he's a horse

(Side note: I feel like Jack would love red dead redemption but not complete any of the tasks and just ride around on the horse)
