Genuinely all songs sound ethereal at some point in the song and magical
Like your floating in n a sea??
Literally like your "alone at the edge of a universe humming a tune" (first lyric of the last song) /silly
Some how I can imagine that almost exactly when listening to it
It's like the entire album is an analogy, along with the songs- it feels like every song has analogies inside of it
BY THE WAY
VERY IMPORTANT
IF YOU LISTEN TO THE ALBUM HAWAII: PART II, PLEASE- IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF HEADPHONES, USE THEM. LISTEN EITH TTHEM. IT CHANGES EVERYTHING
............ I don't have it out of my system yet

Dhirfibeknels

Please I want to drag anyone into the depths of this hyperfixation
Ending this I shall share some of my favorites lyrics from across the songs <3 /platonic /silly
"Ooh, live the dream, with a time machine- you've been waiting forever. You'll have time enough to spend some time alone" - Time Machine
"Past is passed and rather than regret the old, I can live it back the other way" - Time Machine (again)
"Marble gods, tango circles in space, 'round the already dead, hung by staircase uppp.." - White Ball
"Today is renewed, is reborn... Each day, I am new.... I am yours...." - White Ball (again) (I am obsessed with this song)
"I see the praised rays.... You see me smileee..." - Black Rainbows (the background voices of this song sing in Hawaiian :O)
"Alone... At the edge of a universe, humming a tune... For merely dreaming we were snow...." - Dream Sweet in Sea Major (the last song)
"A siren sounds, like the goddess who promises endless apologies of paradise.... And only she canale it sound right.... So things are different tonight.." - Dream Sweet in Sea Major (again)
"Believe me darling, the stars were made for fallllling... Like melting obelisks as tall as another realm." - Dream Sweet in Sea Major (again again)
I LOVE THIS ALBUM.
Note: I apologize to my friends on discord for having to hear me ramble about this album and trying to recruit them into fans of Miracle Musical :'3 /silly
there needs to be an app where I can pick a song and choose to only listen to a specific part of the song on loop, because sometimes my brain gets hyperfixated on only one part of a song and now I’m having to constantly rewind just to hear the same 28 seconds over and over
I get weird song hyperfixations sometimes- like, I'll vibe to a song and then play it on repeat every single day. It just sounds nice so I listen to it repeatedly.
Sometimes I memorize the lyrics after the 50th time for the most part but not always.
Usually it's like one song that will get stuck in my head for a while- typically a few weeks, a month or two maybe.
My most recent one though is kind of odd though because it's not just one song, it's 40 songs mushed together into an incoherent mess of half-remembered lyrics-
So one of my friends convinced me back in early February to listen to EPIC (I was currently hyperfixated on Hamilton at the time, so in exchange to listening to her hyperfixation she'd listen to mine lmao)
And so I did, liked it, listened to it a second time, and then went back to Hamilton for another week before switching to a random one direction song I vibed with for the rest of the month.
So then March rolls around. It's the tenth. I'm bored and am no longer vibing to one direction but not feeling like Hamilton, and I didn't have anything else stuck in my head. Troy and Jay show up in my YT shorts and so I'm like 'why not?" and play EPIC on the busride to school.
I've now listened to it no less than 6 times. It's been 2 days.
By this point, I've obviously ought to have one of the Epic songs stuck in my head- right?
More like all of them-
All of the sagas have been bouncing around my brain all freaking day- I completely zoned out biology. All of them.
I'll randomly go from "six hundred men" to
"full speed ahead" "558 men died under your command" "don't you call my mother a tramp" "youre the worst kind of good cuz you're not even great, a greek who reeks of false-righteousness thats what I hate" "PENELOPEEEEE" "waaaittinggg waitttinggg" "ALL I HEAR ARE SCREEAAMSSS EVERYTIME I DARE TO CLOSE MY EYES" "ruthlessness is mercy upon yourself" "Captain! Captain! *dying noises*" "Polities gear up, you and I'll go ahead" "The world will need a puppeteer no mooooreeee" "all my power, all my power, but it's been 12 long yeeearrrs" "DO WHAT IT TAKES TO SURVIVEEEE" "it's gonna be dangerous my friend youll need a mindset change for this" "cuz we've got all we could want hear all we could need here" "Hell no I could kill you where you stand im no pet im a married man" "558 men died under your command" "ATHENA! Badass in the arena best stategies we've seen" "THE INFAMOUS ODESEYOUSSS" "while i break his pride his trust his faith and his bonesss" "don't you call my mother a tramp" "RUTHLESSNESS" "captain! captain!" "BRACE FOR A STOoOOoOOOOorMMM stOOooROoooM-"
on repeat :3
which I'm fine with
but it's only discombobulated lines from random sagas, I don't think I could sing a singular song without the music because I keep randomly thinking of other lyrics.
You'll either play it on repeat for weeks then get annoyed anytime you hear it, or it winds up on repeat for months and it ends up on the playlist for anytime you need to self-regulate.
The fun part is that you never know which it is when you hear it the first time and the other songs on your playlist can't compare to it.
Okay. I’ve decided to use some questions from the 30 day challenge I sent yesterday as I’m enjoying watching this The Rolling Stones concert video at work. Definitely employee of the month material aren’t I? 😂🎸🎤🎵🎶🥁
1. A song that proves you have good taste
2. A song that you discovered this month
3. A song about drugs or alcohol
4. A song you like with a name in it
5. A song that you connect with
Okay, so for whatever reason I decided to make this harder and choose songs that were not Billy Joel or The Rolling Stones. 😂
1. A song that proves you have good taste - Mona Lisas and Madhatters (Elton John). This song actually has one of my ultimate favorite lyrics, too.
2. A song that you discovered this month - So I went to see The Rolling Stones on October 4, and I've eliminated them from the possible choices. Perfume - (Del Water Gap). I've heard it on the Alt channel, and I love his story behind the lyrics.
3. A song about drugs or alcohol - Smoke Two Joints (Sublime). I fucking love that song, and it cracks me up every time I hear it.
4. A song you like with a name in it - By The Way (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Dani the girl🖤
5. A song that you connect with - Winter Winds (Mumford & Sons). I hate fall, and it's been so gray here the past few days. This song has another one of my favorite lyrics. "Remember spring swaps snow for leaves"
