Song came up on TikTok yesterday that I hadn’t heard in decades—Dreamboat Annie by Heart. I LOVED that song; had the album when it first came out. Hearing it after all these years gave me the weirdest feeling. Not a memory as such, just the strangest wave of calm, or even, dare I say, happiness? Like I remembered that in my childhood, music was the only thing that gave me any joy. Maybe I’m getting there again.

So I've gone down the rabbit hole of listening to music that I associate with someone I miss and I feel weird.

I also listened to my old music taste and boy do I see why people complained 😂

I feel like I have a memory in this song. But I can’t remember it. I just feel this lingering sadness when I listen to it.

What was there? What have I forgotten? And why does it make me sad? It’s not an easy to describe sadness either, it’s like a mix of sadnesses, and I can’t really put my finger on any of them. But it doesn’t feel good.
