 Alim Salaman is a Syrian Scorpion Man and Survivalist. He begun life with his parents and four siblings in the desert where he learned to survive on the land. In time he ventured further and joined the Peacekeepers, using his survival skills to ensure his team would survive in any environment. Though he struggles in social situations and can at times be overly serious, deep down he just wants to keep everyone safe and happy.

Darren Shan has been in if my favourite authors since I read his Cirque du Freak series as a child. His newest series, Zom-B, features some really strong female characters, lead by B, a tomboy who in the beginning is really racist and only later becomes more pleasant. Zombies might still be the biggest danger here, but racism and homophobia nevertheless still exist in the world. One Muslim character, although not the main character, is Ashtat, a bad-ass fighter, as you can see in the picture.
