Zmeu (females are known as Zmeoaica/Zmeoaice) are humanoid dragons of Romanian folklore. In many tales, a Zmeu will take a human woman until he is defeated by Fat-Frumos, the Romanian equivalent to Prince Charming. They have formidable shapeshifting abilities and, like many dragons, breathe fire. Unlike most dragons however, Zmeu can carry weaponry and even ride horses. Their home is Celalalt Taram (Other World?) which is often said to be underground. Leading them is Zmeu Zmeilor.

Bhoot are restless ghosts from Indian mythology, often depicted as either white or very pale. Unlike western ghosts, they speak with a bizarre nasally twang and can never rest their feet upon the earth.

 Bugbears are frightening beasts which prey upon misbehaving children. They dwell in nearby forests, until night falls and an unruly youth warrants their wrath. What they do to the children is never truly confirmed.

 Once upon a time England was home to many aggressive and fearless creatures such as wolves, who no doubt troubled many families. To spur fear in their children and keep them from wandering alone at night, families likely adopted tales of the fearsome Bugbear to keep their children safe.

 Alim Salaman is a Syrian Scorpion Man and Survivalist. He begun life with his parents and four siblings in the desert where he learned to survive on the land. In time he ventured further and joined the Peacekeepers, using his survival skills to ensure his team would survive in any environment. Though he struggles in social situations and can at times be overly serious, deep down he just wants to keep everyone safe and happy.

 Cherufe are man eating beasts which dwell in volcanos according to Mapuche mythology. They create earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, producing ‘Magicians Ardent Stones’ or meteorites and volcanic stones. They may be satiated by a sacrificial offering with virgin maidens being preferred.

 Evangelyne La Vert is a French Witch and descendant of the Ljosalfar. A born leader and student at heart, she knows all things magical. However, she doesn’t like to be wrong and can be overly self critical at times.

 Ani Hyuntikwalaski are Native American beings of thunder which summon lightning fires in hollow sycamore trees.

 Wulver are Scottish wolf humanoids who boast mastery of fishing. So successful are they that they will often leave fish for locals, asking for nothing in return. 

 My inspiration for their design came from the paintings of Edward Donovan who depicted the now extinct native wolves of Britain. The fish depicted is a Brown Trout which is native to Scottish waters.

 Have you ever found yourself admiring the distorted reflections in an ice stalagmite? Perhaps you’ve been drawn to the impossible preservation of anything trapped in the cold tundra embrace? Then the Icepunk aesthetic could be for you!

 I wanted to capture the solitude and wonder of the frozen world, making comfy furniture which could still keep you warm and comfy in theory whilst celebrating frozen forms. Before this post, I had never made digital art of ice, which requires some patience to get the look down. After all, ice may be clear but it isn’t perfectly see-through.

 Bardha are nebulous entities from Albanian mythology. Sometimes described as pale, they have a sweet tooth so indiscriminate that they will gladly eat cakes left out for them, even if its left on the ground. Bardha communities dwell beneath the earth.

 My attempt at Concept Art and Game Asset design! This is the Bathysphere aesthetic, inspired by Lush cosmetics and luxury relaxation. Imagine a room filled with the fragrances and colours of a Lush store, fluffy rests for your head and your own bathing pool!

 These are the Dactyls. All are male and can breathe fire to aid in metalsmithing (no idea if that’s even the correct word lol). Some also taught local Greeks Maths and other subjects, whilst others were allegedly magicians too.

 This is the Witte Wieven, Dutch ghostly women who were revered for their wisdom and healing, returning after death to teach the living. They taught their communities to use medicinal herds and healed the sick too. Also, couldn’t help the memes.
