This short chapter was right next to the one with Shinjiro and Junpei in the bathhouse. So since I had the page scanned, I decided to translate this short chapter with it too. Although I didn’t post it sooner because one of the lines had a spelling mistake and I was too tired to edit the page again…

However, because I feel like this page is a little lackluster, I’ll post another one later today. Anyway, enjoy!

Mutatsu wasn’t difficult to sniff out. As soon as he emerged onto the upper level, Shinjiro’s eyes were drawn to the robed figure sprawled limp and insensate over the corner booth. An empty glass and two ominously large bottles lay discarded on the table before him. Great; Shinjiro was going to have to carry him out. Already mentally composing his complaints to Yoshida, he crossed the sticky floor in a few strides and reached for Mutatsu’s shoulder. At the first brush of Shinjiro’s fingers, the monk’s eyes flew open and he jolted out of his seat. Shinjiro snatched back his hand with a startled curse. Mutatsu caught himself on the arm of the booth before he could spill out of it. Half-conscious, he squinted up at Shinjiro—or tried; he couldn’t quite crane his head back far enough—and coughed out a surprisingly coherent, “The hell’re you?”
