That red hair, pinwheel-shaped tattoo and subtle swaying of gorgeous hips could only mean one thing — Nami was here!
He was a dizzying mixture of relieved and distressed as he took chase. One hand wrapped around the woman’s bare wrist and yanked her back, the fingers on his other hand touching her cheek, shoulder and hair. “N—Nami-san? You’re here! Are you alright?”

13: Do they have any favourite foods? Would they eat it all the time if they had the chance? What do they hate to eat?
Carrots. She loves them. She always has at least 4 on her persons at all times. If she offers you one then you are considered a friend in some way. Especially since she doesn’t share easily. If she could, she would have them with every meal. In fact, she does. Even pudding. She believes carrot cake to be the best cake there is. Simply because it involves carrots.
She won’t eat red meat. This stems from it being the red meats that are often tampered with by those looking to harm both her and her companions. Not to mention the mere fact that she knows people from the butcher’s guild and their famous “mystery meats” which tend to look similar to red meats but are often goblinoid or some kind of weird and wonderful beast – which could have hallucinogenic properties or just plain be poisonous. They can sometimes even be dyed and humanoid in nature.
14: Pet peeves. Tell us what would really tick them off. Do they have a Berserk Button?
Everything. Almost. I’ve mentioned previously that pet names and public affection irritate her greatly.
However, these are more than likely only going to have her walk away. To truly get under the halfling’s skin you would have to underestimate her. People who doubt her, who single her out for her height, who basically believe she would be incapable of doing something regardless of how experienced an adventurer she is are a massive peeve of hers. Another would be people who cannot follow proper etiquette. Eat with your damn mouth closed, remember your manners, don’t snatch, don’t push and shove and you won’t find a knife pressed against your neck/knee/thigh.
Vani is relatively calm, on the outside anyway, she is all anger bubbling just below the surface, however. She doesn’t have a berserk button, so to speak, but if someone does harm one of her closest friends or her brother their life can be considered forfeit. She isn’t the loud angry. She is the quiet and dangerous angry.
15: Does your OC have any awful fears? Do they get paralyzed with fear or can they work through their fears?
She has one major fear: losing her brother and best friend. These people stand for the two things she never believed she would have. If she lost them, she would lose what light was left in her very dark little world.She is a halfling, halfling do not get scared easily. Natural bravery and all that – and a belief that Tymora, Goddess of Luck, is always watching them and thus they cannot truly get into too much of an unlucky situation that would lead to their demise. Along this belief, Vani has a very logical mind. She finds it easy to work through her fears and as such, they never truly take hold or show on the outside all that often.
19: Have they ever been injured? Sick? How do they deal with it?
Being an adventurer, she is often injured by a great many things – weapons, elemental spells, sharp claws etc. She generally just gets up, shakes it off and gets on with what needs to be done. She only ever tends to injuries with potions if it all becomes too much and she doesn’t believe she’d be able to remain conscious if she didn’t.
With illness, she just sleeps. She’ll go see her brother – the doctor – for something to help with it and would then likely just sleep until it passed. Because to bother someone with it would be to invite them to believe they were allowed to look after her and, as far as she is concerned, she can look after herself.
