I headcanon (and hypothesize) that blot is actually more dangerous to non-magic users than one might think.

Since blot burns through magic, what happens when a mage’s magic runs out? Well, they die. BUT, I feel that the process is somewhat similar to how a human body burns energy- it uses carbs, and if no carbs are present, it uses fat, and if no fat is present, it begins to burn muscles.

In terms of blot I imagine that once blot has no magic to burn through, it starts burning through the body of the overblotter (or whoever is present), which causes the demise of the mage. This can lead to things like blot burns on mages and non-mages who make contact with blot. And of course we KNOW blot hurts (via the manga and anime, mostly).

All that being said, I think Yuu probably sustains more damage from each overblot than anyone thinks, and the overblotters themselves probably have some gnarly burns.

THE ANTI PONY TADC HYPOTHESIS

Zooble is the anti-rarity. They both focus on their looks and are quite similar to me in their way of speach. I think, Rarity would look similarly fragmented like Zooble. if sent to the amazing digital hellscape.

Jax is the anti-pinkie pie. Both break the fourth wall. Unlike Pinkie pie, Jax isn't actually the "funny one". Yeah.

Gangle is the anti-fluttershy. Unlike my shy godess of everything good, Gangle is not particularly pleasent. While they both struggle with the difficult afliction called 'social anxiety' and possibly ptsd related to jax/idk i'm making this shit up, they are not one.

Kinger, my goat, is the anti-twilight. They are both extremily smart and kind of shady individuals. Kinger, however, seems to be split and is not as sane as da Sparkle.

Ragatha is the anti-apple jack. She thinks she is the glue and the strong one holding it together. she is not rlly all that.

Pomni is the anti-rainbowdash i guess cuz those two are left and i have no feelings on this headcannon cuz i listed them in order of how this vision came to me. and pomni was not on mt mind. you see how this develoves when it goes down

debugging my office

Tonight I got distracted by a fly buzzing around my office. I guessed the root cause: flies are attracted to light, and my office was the only room with lights on. I tested my hypothesis by turning off the overhead light in my office and turning on the one in the hallway. In support of my hypothesis, the fly flew into the hallway. I then toggled the lights and closed the door.

Now there's a fly in my office again. I'm unsure whether it's a different fly. It could be the original fly bypassed the door, perhaps while I was fiddling with the lights, a known race condition. So now I'll repeat the process...

I’m having so much fun reading all the meta for the first episode of 4 Minutes… I didn’t think I had anything to contribute but actually I do have one thing that keeps rattling in my brain…

I’ve seen a lot of people speculating on the relationship between Tonkla and Korn and what exactly it is that’s happening there, so I just wanted to throw my two cents into the ring!

How I am reading it is that Korn is the golden child, daddies boy as it were, so therefore hypothetically would need (particularly because his step mom seems a bit obsessed with image) an advantageous/auspicious (at least on the outside) marriage THEREFORE I would think it would be highly likely that his marriage, if not 100% arranged, would absolutely have to be given the blessing of his parents.

I say this because when his father called he didn’t say he was with Tonkla he said he was with Fasai, who is a woman if you go on MDL, and not only a woman but a woman who his father knows and who is connected enough with an uncle his father knows that lying and saying Fasai is having dinner with said uncle isn’t suspicious.

So here’s what I’m thinking:

1. Fasai is a girlfriend/ fiancée chosen/supported by Korns parents

2. Tonkla is an unfit partner for our golden boy either because of a lower class background or the fact he’s a man or both and so therefore Korn does not want him introduced to the family

3. So Tonkla is a side piece to Korns actual fiancée and is absolutely aware he is a side piece (I don’t think the doing it raw request was a test I just think it was wishful thinking on his part to go further I think they were in a relationship before the fiancée was in the picture and they did do it raw before but once fiancée arrived it became safe sex all the time) tho it’s an okay situation for him (he’s financially benefiting) he isn’t exactly happy having to share

3. I think the conflict will arise from Korn not wanting to take any steps forward to maybe not hide Tonkla away like some dirty little secret and Tonkla will get fed up and leave the whole situation.

Anyways… just my hypothesis, I’m very excited to see where this one goes!

How come rod turned into the biggest titan if he just licked it? Is it because of his royal blood?

i'm guessing you saw my post about controlling the size of titans?? so the sergeant major filled the syringe almost entirely after saying he was going to make a 3-4 meter titan, and pure titans range from 3-15 meters. so it seems like the more serum you inject, the SMALLER the resulting titan is.

also, and tho this is mostly just implied, injection into/eating the spine is the "right" way to go about it, which makes sense, so there'd be complications to do it any other way.

rod reiss didn't even swallow any, he kind of just touched a little to his tongue? WOO what a disaster.

dina's titan was about 15 meters, which is the max. therefore pure titans of royal blood seem to be naturally tall, which makes sense. hence why reiss's titan is "tall", but he absorbed a tiny bit thru his tongue, not even of any titan serum, but ROYAL blooded titan serum from uri. as a result it makes sense for him to become a freakish titan like he did.

it honestly kind of resembled eren's founding titan in proportion with the tiny head, jutting spine, huge torso and spindly (but functional) limbs.

eren's case is complicated, but the brass tacks is that he doesn't technically have royal blood but transformed correctly, whereas rod had royal blood, but transformed incorrectly. either way, they did it wrong which is why they're funny lookin.
