Angels don’t always have wings (my Kali)
James often spoke of dreams in which he saw Christopher standing on the other side of a wide riverbank, a great band of silver water before him, waiting patiently for his friends to join him one day.
When I got these rusty second hand gauntlets I wasn't sure how well they'd clean up -- I also had no idea how long they'd take to derust! I must have spent many hours carefully scrubbing away at these. Getting each scale on each finger was very hard.
I'm happy to say it was well worth it, these gauntlets look and fit better than my old ones.
my kit has less and less armor as i go on i swear
Armour update time!!! There was some tragedy, some heartbreak, but thankfully ultimately I was victorious!
Next will be the weathering on the repainted bucket, and finishing the bracers!
Unedited test shots. Sony A55 and Sony 35-70 MACRO lens. When I bought the a55 second hand, back in 2012, the guy offered me the regular kit lens or this. I chose this. Natural to rich colour, sharp from it’s shortest to longest focal range, and its strength really lies in mid range portraits where you want to include a bit of background. I forgot how much I liked this lens. Obviously due to its limited focal range I haven’t got a lot of use out of it as a travel lens, but I think I may revisit this one more for portraiture. And of course, you can get some very interesting shots with the macro if you’re into that. I have some macro filters somewhere... I might have to experiment with those.
