Valid stances on veganism:
- I’m vegan/vegetarian, and I believe that dairy, milk, etc. industries are usually inhumane and killing animals is just cruel, but I don’t antagonise people who eat meat, dairy, or eggs because veganism is all about compassion. I know veganism isn’t a perfect choice, but I believe it’s the best choice and I hope to help minimize it’s negative environmental/economic impacts, and make veganism more available for everyone
- I’m not vegan, but I know how cruel animal farming can be and I hope to help change that. I believe killing animals for food is ok, as long as it’s done as humanely as possible. I don’t have a problem with vegans, but they need to understand that choosing veganism isn’t an option for everyone, and can have negative effects on our earth and the economy as well
- I don’t know much about veganism, so I don’t really have an opinion on it, but once I learn about animal cruelty in the farming industry I’m trying to learn more about it so I can make an informed desision on becoming vegan and/or what I can do to help stop this
- I became vegan because it’s trendy, but once I start learning about the cruelty in the farming industry and the problems with vegan substitutes I’m going to go back, do more research and make an informed desision on my diet
Invalid opinions on veganism:
- I believe everyone who eats meat is a murderer and that if you’re not vegan you’re an asshole, and I make sure to let meat eaters know that by calling them that to their faces, treating them like animal abusers and antagonizing them
- I believe that all vegans are preachy and dickish, so I treat them terribly to “give them a taste of their own medicine” and I actively limit people’s access to fake meat, dairy, etc. products unreasonably, sometimes refusing to interact with vegans (unless I’m antagonizing them) purely because they’re vegan
- I know about the animal abuse going on in the farming industry, but I don’t care because I’m not vegan, and they’re just animals anyway
- I’m vegan and I know about the negitive environmental and economic impacts of some meat, dairy, etc. substitutes, but I don’t care because it doesn’t affect me/my country
