Good morning! Been having such a restful and joyful time here in so called San Diego. Getting caught up with friends and getting that plant and sunlight therapy. I can’t explain to you how much amazing energy and vibe was created for the @pocfungicommunity Fungi Gathering at the @worldbeatcenter. So much love, dedication and spirit went into that event. The organizers are superstars and held such a healing space and created such a beautiful event. I’m very honored and humbled to be invited and included in this community. For the love of fungi and justice! I’m gearing up to drive north towards @flora_y_tierra to be part of another special event: MYCELIAL NETWORK GATHERING hosted and curated by @mama_maiz alongside my dear friend @pocfungicommunity and yummy foods by @milpa_vegan @lalobalocashares will be there vending and offering free plant medicine to undocumented friends, refugees and those affected by racist border policies. This is what’s up! Collaboration and connection between Mycology and serving the people. Justice must be cultivated from the ground up, from the hyphae. Care must be created. Trust must be built. Y’all we live in trying times and it’s so important now more than ever to bring our skill sets together to share and bring new paradigms to the fold. Ones that are created by those who are on the ground doing that work. Eternally humbled by that work, that care and that dedication. Mycology without justice is just not enough for me.
