The third year of platonic Stobin Month is almost upon us!
Here are this year's prompts well ahead of time. I've included a bonus prompt for each week* based on this tweet:
(*ish. Every 8 days or so.)
As always, use the tags #stobinmonth and #stobinmonth2025 when posting your pieces. There will also be an ao3 collection that writers can add their works to. The previous collections can be found here.
All kinds of fanwork all welcome! Have fun, and I hope to see you all in March! <3
Welcome to the Lucifer Season 1 Editing Challenge! These prompts are meant to inspire fans to create content for the show and may be interpreted in any way you wish. There is no set date/deadline for this challenge, so you are free to create for these prompts whenever you like.
Please remember that this challenge is specific to Lucifer season 1 so all work created for it should be based on content from that season. I plan on creating similar challenges for seasons 2-6 in the future, so stay tuned for those. Also, while this challenge is geared toward gifmakers, other fan creators (writers, artists, etc.) are welcome to join in as well.
Make sure to tag your creations as #lucichallenge so I can find and reblog them! I also track #usermills if you’d like to tag me there as well. Have fun & feel free to send me an ask if you have any questions.
Last week’s ebru workshop with Nitto Boğaziçi members was a lot of fun. We did some stencil work of Japanese family crests and of course sakura flowers. Japanese participants had their first experience with ebru marbling. We are planning to do a second workshop on Turkish flower designs soon.

If you have any concerns about the competition, judges, or contestants, please contact me @mewo-events.
2. For cosplayers, you can only submit one sim.

5. If you drop out of the competition, you will not be able to come back.
If you do so, tell me at least two days beforehand if you have to leave the competition. The exception is if you're mentally/physically unable to contact me. Please contact me when you can.

A disclaimer: I am a freshman in college!
So sometimes I may not respond immediately. However, I have hosted and participated in multiple events and have seen them all to completion throughout my life. So please trust that I will not abandon you. You can find proof of some posted on @mewo-events.
I have largely set it up so that everything in this competition can be done with minimal effort or confusion from everyone, so a slightly late response will not halt anything you'll need to do or submit.
Let's keep it fair and fun!
(A special, massive thank you to @gashface for all his help!)

You all are the life of this event!
There are some things you need to know before we get started, so please hang tight.
Anything that is dressing up as a fictional character will be considered cosplay. Characters do not have to be humans either as creatures or even objects can count as well as long as they are personified!
Dressing up as an existing, non-fictional person, creature, or object does NOT count as cosplay!
Ex. Dressing up as Shaggy from the live action "Scooby Doo" movie is allowed. But just dressing up as Matthew Lillard, his actor, is not!
Since those are such general qualifications, you can expect tons of various series and characters to fall under them! And they all are allowed, as long as the series/character is appropriate for this competition. You can easily check by following the 'Subject Matter & Warnings' section.
Please be sure to read it!
⟢
While cosplaying has near infinite possibilities, there are still limits that we cannot pass!
These are what can be changed on your cosplayer:
Hair
Facial & Body accessories
Hats
Clothes
Makeup
Tattoos
Fantasy Skintones (Shades unobtainable in real life and belong to fantastical creatures; Ex. Genie from Aladdin.)
There are what can't be changed:
Natural Skintones
Clothes that morph the body or remove parts from it
Body type
Frame
Facial structure
(Think genetics you would not be able to change in real life within a very short time period and without medical intervention.)
.
⊹ ࣪ ˖
Any illegal subjects, excessive gore, fetish content, drug use, existing politics, and graphic sexual content are prohibited.
Blood, suggestive imagery, slight gore, and mild violence are allowed.
If you put anything on the form for subjects you are personally sensitive to, I will warn you beforehand if it's included in the post.
If you aren't sure whether your image falls under these categories, feel free to pm me a description or WIP of it at @mewo-events beforehand!
.
୭ ˚.
When your cosplay is done, you will be required to take only one picture of it. While editing is recommended and rewarded, it is not mandatory.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, 11:50 pm EST.
When you want to submit your image, send it here.
Half of your points will be deducted if you submit it late so please be careful!
If your image violates any of the prohibited subject matter or changes things on your cosplayer that aren't allowed, I will warn you so that you can fix the issue. DM me fixed images @mewo-events.
If you do not fix it by Saturday, 12:00 pm EST, your image will be forfeited and you will automatically receive a 0. Make sure to send the image or a WIP of it before the deadline if you are not sure that your image follows the subject matter rules.
.
Thank you for wanting to be a judge! ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
We all know judging is incredibly important to any competition!
As a result, there are a couple of rules to ensure it's done both properly and fairly to all parties.
1. You have to be at least 18y/o to be a judge.
2. You can expect to be in a group chat with other judges. Running back and forth makes things complicated for everyone.
3. Leave all your biases at the door! Keep an open mind regarding sim styles (maxis/alpha), franchises, characters, mediums, and genres.
4. Do not judge a cosplayer's likeliness to who they're cosplaying, by:
Natural skin color, body type, sex/gender, ethnicity, disabilities, or romantic preferences. These are non-changeable.
You are only judging using the info given in the Judging Criteria section.
5. No bias towards people you like or dislike. Judge everyone fairly. If you have concerns about a possible or already enrolled contestant, contact me @mewo-events.
6. Judging will start at 1 pm EST each Saturday. You will have until 11:30 pm EST later that day to submit your scores for each cosplayer!
7. If you are ever approached with a problem regarding the competition, direct the person with the complaint to @mewo-events. This is to ensure no unnecessary stress for you and makes it easier to resolve the issue.
ꕀ
For our judges and cosplayers, all judging will be based solely off of the three categories you'll see below!
Judges will be given various pictures to rate each week. Based on how well they believe the picture followed each three categories, points will be given for each accordingly. Each category will have a maximum of 5 points given to it. 1 is bare minimum.
This will be judged by how cohesive the overall outfit is.
Your thought process should be similar to the following:
- Is this a premade outfit or was it created manually?
- If the latter, do the individual items chosen go together?
- Overall, are there any visible bad textures or holes?
Additional points should be awarded if:
The outfit was manually created and well put-together.
Care was taken for post-editing of the outfit.
⸝⸝
An amazing thing about cosplay is being able to feel the actual character is alive!
For this, you will be judging the cosplayer's pose, outfit, and environment in comparison to the actual character. More points will be given if the demeanor, look and feel resembles that of their fictional counterpart. If a creative spin is being done, some leniency should be given. In that case, their demeanor at least still needs to be similar and it needs to be believable.
Ex. Levi Ackerman from AOT working at a Maid Café as a stern maid.
- The premise is allowed if he would be in character for that situation.
Ex. Levi Ackerman from AOT dressed as and acting like Barney.
- The premise is technically allowed, but it isn't believable for his character. It will therefore be given less points for this section.
Resources will be given to you in addition to the picture. It will provide a general overview of the character. Use them to judge this category.
Your thought process should be similar to the following:
- Does the cosplayer's outfit resemble the original character's in style or palette?
- Is the cosplayer's pose befitting that of their counterpart?
- Is the premise too unbelievable for the character?
Additional points should be awarded if:
Generally, the outfit was clearly made with the character in mind.
The character could fit in the environment.
The cosplayer was posed to resemble the character.
メ.
This is how enjoyable and cohesive you believe the overall picture was. This would primarily include the environment, the outfit and the cosplayer's pose altogether.
Your thought process should be similar to the following:
- Do I like this picture? How much?
- Is the model clearly visible?
- Do all of the elements mesh together well?
- Did this picture evoke feelings or leave a strong impression?
Additional points should be awarded if:
You can tell a lot of effort effectively went into setting up the picture.
If you gained personal enjoyment from the picture.

This video shows how to submit your points alongside other important things like finding the photo submissions, how to easily alert me that you are done scoring, etc. You will need to watch it!
Thank you for being interested in this!
But please keep any negative thoughts about all participants to yourself. The alternative is humiliating and there's a good chance the contestant is already self-conscious since this is a public competition. Please be respectful to everyone involved.
If you have any inquiries or concerns about the event or its participants, please message me @mewo-events. I will gladly answer so long as you are patient and understanding in return.
Remember we are all here to have fun!
