Chapter 2 The Human Village

Dyani and Aurora have been walking for a few days it was almost sunset when they arrive at a village next to a lake connected to a river Dyani reads the map " This should be the Human Village we can rest here before we get to the mountain behind it" Aroura sighs "Humans..." if there was one thing that both Winter and Summer Fawns could agree on is to be wary of humans so much that on the rare occasions they would team up agents them.

Aurora hides in her hoodie and Dyani hides in his hair and they walk in carefully people are out and about doing their daily stuff.

They walk then suddenly a blue-haired girl wearing a white and red jumpsuit falls landing on Aurora dropping her hoodie.

"ow!" Aurora yelps.

The girl rubs her head and looks at her " Oh I'm sorry!" she scoots off of her "You ok?" Aurora stands up and quickly hides in her hoodie again "Yeah..." " I'm Slor" " I'm Dyani and that's Aurora" he replies

Once Slor gets a good look at them she is confused "What are you?" she goes to stand up but then falls as she feels pain in her leg " Are you ok?" Dyani asks concerned and trying to change the subject.

" what were you even doing?"

Slor nods " Yes I'm fine I'm good at falling. I was practicing a stunt I wanted to do." She stands up but her leg hurts and she has to sit back down “Ow…”

"I thought you said you were good at falling."

"I am! Just not the landing part…"

"do you need help getting to a medical area?"

“ No I’m fine I can get there myself” She tries to walk but falls.

"yeah, we’re helping you."

They take Slor over to a medical building and a green-haired boy and a purple-haired girl come out.

They both sigh.

Slor looks nervous " H-Hey, Liam Mythias..."

Liam huffs " Again..." and takes her inside as she has a nervous smile.

Mythias looks at the kids “Thank you for taking her here who knows how long it would take her to come anyways” “This is normal?” Dyani asks.

“ Yeah, she’s a stubborn one who wants to do one thing and won’t take no for an answer.”

“We are looking for a place to stay for the night.”

“ Hm oh, there’s an inn not too far from here let me take you there.”

Mythias leads them to the inn and helps them get a room.

They thank her and go into a room.

It was a small room with two beds and a window showing the night sky.

Aurora flops on a bed face first and Dyani just sits on the other one “ I’ve never been this far from home before” Aurora moves her head to look at him “Honestly me either.. I’m not used to all this heat” she lays on her back and holds the crystal necklace “ what is that for” “ it’s a cold absorbing crystal every Winter Fawn get one the moment they are born basically they make it so we can live in the cold..” her thoughts wander off to something else and she gets sad but shakes it off.

"Knowing my mom she's probably going to send some guards to come find me.." Dyani noted. Aurora sighs " Don't get me wrong I love my mom but she can be really overprotective I don't really blame her tho my dad was killed by Winter Fawn before I was born..." " Oh...I'm sorry."

" Don't be it wasn't you who did it.."

The next day they wake up to Slor climbing in through the window.

" What th!-" "Hey time to get up! we've got shopping to do!" Dyani is groggy and confused. “ You helped me now I want to help you!” Slor drags them out of bed.

“ Hey, we don’t need help.” “ Do you have money to pay for anything?” Both Fawns go quiet.

“ Exactly I’m helping you.” she helps them pay for their room then takes them to a cafe.

“ Ian some of your famous breakfast please!”

They see a tan person at the corner with green hair and green eyes “Coming right up Slor” They sit at a table after a few minutes Ian comes out with three plates that have a combination of pancakes and waffles on them.

“ These are Ian’s famous Panfles they are the best thing ever!” Slor says excitedly already eating hers.

Aurora is hesitant but after seeing Dyani bite into his and makes an in awe face and eats the rest she decides to try it.

She ate a bite.

And it’s amazing.

It’s a warm, buttery sweetness with a crispiness, blending the best of both pancakes and waffles. The batter is rich, fluffier, and hints of vanilla. The crispy edges create a crunchy exterior, while the tender, fluffy inside melts into a soft, buttery middle.

Once they eat it all Slor pays for the food and they go to the market. They look at supplies and food.

While looking at the fruit stands they come across a pale brown-haired man and a kid in a wolf hoodie that looks way too big for her

" What do demons eat...?" The man mumbles.

"Hi, Lucas!" Slor waves at him

Lucas jumps and hides the child behind him " H-Hi Slor! Sorry I didn't see you there"

" It's fine anyway who's that behind you?"

" Oh..um...she's my friend's kid I'm just...babysitting for them for a while..."

They chat while the child pecks out looks at Dyani and Aurora and goes over to them.

She looks at them amazed "Your Fawn." she smiles.

" Um... no."

"Yeah, you are I can tell because of your noses."

"Well keep it down..." Dyani hushes her.

"You worried about the humans? I am too but this one is nice." She quickly shows them her tail and horns but one is broken before hiding again. " I'm Balor."

"Oh I've heard of your kind demon right?"

Balor nods as Aurora is getting confused.

Lucas quickly goes to Balor and leaves with her waving to the kids.

While finishing shopping a child with blue hair and a horn on her head in overalls comes up to them Slor gets really nervous.

" umm, can we help you??"

"I want that!" she points to the star clip that's on Aurora's head.

"No, it's mine!" Aurora snapped.

"W-we should go..." Slor urges.

"I want it!" she stomps her foot.

Aurora is getting annoyed fast " No!"

"No means no kid sorry." Dyani chims in.

Not satisfied with that answer she starts staring at them her swirl eyes start to spin creating a hypnotic feeling.

Dyani’s eyes turn into hers and he falls into a trance but Aurora doesn’t and is confused as unknown to her the star is glowing protecting her Slor is looking away terrified.

Angry that Aurora isn’t affected she orders Dyani to grab the star

" Yes, Dina," Dyani answered robotically. He reaches for the star " Dyani what are you doing!" yells Aurora trying to fend him off and they get exposed in front of everyone Aurora ends up poking Dyani in the eye and that gets him out of the trance.

"Ow! ...Wha..?"

" W-What are those!"

"Don't get close! They could be dangerous!"

" Hey, freaks get out of here!"

The people are starting to get scared and want them out of the village.

Dina giggles and runs off.

Aurora is mad and tries to go after her but the townspeople surround them.

Dyani gets scared and hides behind Aurora.

The people keep getting closer.

Then suddenly Slor grabs the two and runs off with them.

They run out of the village and hide.

“That was a close one…” Dyani pants “Why did you help us you are a human too..” Aurora questions Slor.

“ Simple you helped me now I want to help you too and go with you.”

“ We need to get to the top of that mountain.”

“ Why?”

Aurora sighed “ We’ll explain on the way.”

Slor nods as they get going.

omg WHO is this mythias

He is my son, my guy, my dude, my boy, my player character in the Curse of Strahd campaign my friend runs in D&D for our group :>

He's an Elf Druid, has ADHD(-i) and also lost most of his memory up till the last 5 years (and since he's an elf, that means he's missing about... 168 years of his life). He became an Archeologist to search for clues as to how he lost his memories, which is why I dressed him like bootleg Indiana Jones :’) He likes puns, is addicted to dream pies (but recovering with the help of our cleric) and also has a very, very cursed staff.

[I guess spoilers for Curse of Strahd] The premise of the Curse of Strahd is that you and your party get caught in a heavy mist that transports you to Barovia, the land controlled by Count Strahd, the BBEG. This happened to our party and ever since, we've been trying to find our way out but it's become clear to us that the only way out is to uh.. get rid of Strahd basically. Unfortunately he is very powerful and very evil and we are but level 6 characters right now.

Anyway, a couple sessions ago we ran into someone (or she ran into us I should say) who recognised my guy Mythias under a different name! And I recognised her but only from some dreams I had, in which we uh.. held hands and danced together 😳 Anyway, here we meet her, her name is Ezmeralda and I love her so much:

Turns out my boy is from here, and not from Faerûn (regular D&D dimension) like the others! Once she’s calmed down, Ezmeralda tells me my backstory: I was born here, raised in an Elven druid commune, shielded from the rest of Barovia and most of Strahd’s influence. But as I grew up I grew restless and wanted to know what was out there, so I became an adventurer. I left the commune and saw the horrors of the land firsthand. I met a group of adventurers who’d been brought here through the mist, befriended them and became a part of their party. Then Ezmeralda met us and the two of us... fell in love. She didn’t mention that last part, but Mythias told her about one of the dreams he had and held her hand to illustrate what he saw and she... held his hand back! So there are still some left over feelings between the two of them and it’s been making me go insane for the past 3 months sjakdhflkjhsd

She also told me how we had tried to sneak into Strahd’s castle, but the mission went severely awry and one by one our party members fell, struck down by the monsters we were fighting and when she saw me go down as well, Ezmeralda managed to drag me and herself out of there, aided by an invisibility potion. She stole a carriage and fled with her unconscious friend and lover, leaving the others behind unable to save them all. She got to the mist barrier and, because of her lineage, passed through it into Faerûn and got me to a hospital, paid for all expenses and left to go back to Barovia. I woke up who knows how long after that with absolutely zero memory of what happened or who I was and decided to name myself Mythias, because that was the only name I could think of at the time. When I told her my name was Mythias during our first encounter since I came back to Barovia, she laughed at my face and went ‘Oh, you’re Mythias? Hon, that’s your father!’ so I guess we now know where he got the name :’) 

And uh, turns out Ezmeralda had something else she needed to tell him:

So turns out I have a son :') His name is Dendrias, shortened to Denny, he's a 4,5 year old Half-Elf and I met him during our last session and I love him so much 🥺😭 Ezmeralda took us to the hidden commune so I could meet my dad, and my uncle and my little boy. All of em are druids and I feel very at home here.

Unfortunately that puts me in a very difficult position, because now I’m going to have to choose to either stay and take care of my son or to leave again to finish what we started!

And that’s where we are now and I’ve been poring myself over this dilemma for the past couple of weeks haha *sweats*

I chose this song for Mythias, because he's recently met his dad again and has a pretty close bond with him (they even share a name now). Also Mythias nearly died a couple times, both in-game and in his discovered lore, so he's very grateful to be alive and to be an adventurer!

Learning While I Lose by the Eels

My guy Mythias is kind of a, as we'd call him in Dutch, 'faalhaas'. He's clumsy and often messes things up by by rolling like shit or stumbling over his words hehe

I finally had a breakthrough in a scene I've been thinking about for over a Year! It's Mythias (Sylvias here, 'cause it's in the past) & Ezmeralda about to fuck for hm i haven't decided if it's their first time, but it's definitely the first time at his house. And the first part was easy, it's them and their party chilling when suddenly Ezmeralda's like *yawn* "I'mma go to bed" *stares at Sylvias* who's like "OK, sleep tight!" *continues chilling with the rest* so she like touches him and shoots him a look to which he blushes and then joins her to go upstairs and "show her where she can sleep tonight". Meanwhile the rest of the party downstairs looks at each other and go "oh, they fuckin'!" "They're gonna bone!" "About time, lmao"

Once upstairs Ezmeralda goes "So, where can I sleep tonight?" And Sylvias is like "well, my dad's room is here and mine is here and these are the guest rooms!" And here I kind of got stuck most times.. like, Ezmeralda says something that makes Sylvias stumble over his words and then they kiss/make out and go into his bedroom and they fuck. the end.

However, that's not what I wanted out of this story, I wanted to be there for the smut and everything, not just the lead up!

But last night I finally cooked up some vivid imagery in my brain and now I'm all hyped to write it down and draw it out at some point, cause lemme tell you the thing I thought was Hot (at least to me) hehehe

I haven't completely thought out the rest (will do so when I go swimming in a bit lol, makes the water seem cooler shfjfbd) but I'm happy I got the turning point to work! And now that I wrote it here a bit I'm like.. should I... Write write this, instead of making it a comic? I haven't written fanfic in a long time, and have never written smut before, but damn it feels good to write and makes it feel even more intimate than my drawings could make it!

So anyway, Ezmeralda gets closer, holds his hands, leans in and goes "let me rephrase that... Where do you want me to sleep tonight?" and she and Sylvias already both know the answer, he's just blushing too much and can't bring himself to say it, just get the words out, he swallows hard. "Sylvias..." She kisses him softly, hands moving, one on his lower back, the other to his shoulder "where" she kisses his cheeck "do you" his hands move to her back, she kisses his cheekbone "want me" she kisses him near his ear "to sleep" his hands grip the fabric of her shirt as she kisses him behind his ear "tonight?". And he shivers and his body finally springs into action and he starts kissing her neck (it's right in front of him, might as well start there y'know) and he goes up her jawline and her head moves to his and they start making out against his bedroom door. He pushes the door handle so they can go in and continue making out.

Much to think about!
