I can't believe I have to look for the dog equivalent of an air tag like what do you mean that beast basically needs a smartphone and it's going to be as big as a house. no.

Delightful upper body work today. I also tried to focus more on shoulder work because I realized I usually like to do back and chest exercises, subconsciously. I definitely do love back exercises (which I am just now realizing!). It’s all important, but shoulders are definitely not to be neglected!
My legs were still too sore today to do too much, so tomorrow while we are visiting my parents I’ll do a lower body HIIT workout of some sort.
Berry protein smoothie to top off my afternoon!
2020.Mar.26 Walk
Keeping active and away from people in the ghost town by the beach. I can walk across a 6 lane road without waiting for the light, cos there is no traffic. It's so weird. There are lots of people walking/running/biking the neighborhood all day long now, even saw one guy doing burpees in his front yard.
So at the start of this lockdown (which is nearing 50 days!) I cast my healthy eating aside, pretty badly and it affected me in so many ways. My skin was fighting with me, my thoughts, my body as a whole... About a week ago I decided to hell with this impending doom and gloom! And I decides to take a look at my eating habits and just start making minor changes and honestly, other than the fact that I still struggle sleeping, I'm feeling quite a bit bitter.😊 • • • I honestly believe that what you put in your body affects your whole being, and although my skin isn't being super friendly with me yet, my mood is starting to lift.🔝 • • • #myworkout #myfitnessjournal #myweightlossjourney #myweightlossstory #fitbit #fitbitcharge2 #fitblr #healthblr #happy #healthy #cardio #cardioworkout #walk #jog #run #treadmill #fitblr #healthblr #healthspo #workoutoftheday #healthyheart #fitness #fitnessgoals #healthythoughts #healingfromtheinside #lockdown #covid19 (at Three Rivers, Gauteng, South Africa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAHu26KB-4o/?igshid=foj3ouint3oz
Boxing Workout
I boxed for the first time in 2 years and it felt AMAAAAZING.
I went easy because I know I’m going to be incredibly sore tomorrow. Boxing soreness always seems to sneak up on me.
Here’s an easy beginner boxing workout that I did:
Drills:
jabs for 1 min --> 10 push ups (I like to do my push ups on my fists, and sometimes I do them on my knees)
jab-cross for 1 min --> 10 push ups
jab-right hook for 1 min --> 10 push ups
Combos:
jab-cross-left hook for 1 min --> 20 crunch twists (with medicine ball)
jab-cross-left hook-right hook --> 20 crunch twists
jab-cross-left hook-right uppercut --> 20 crunch twists
jab-left hook-right hook --> 20 crunch twists
Finish with punch out - 2-3 minutes of non stop punches
I did some jump rope afterwards with more push ups in between. Turns out I’m terrible at jumping rope. I’ll get better!
This is a pretty simple work out, but it’s great for building your boxing foundations and getting your punches and form to be clean.
I like to bring my iPad with me to use as a stopwatch, but a phone could work as well. I like this better than using a clock or watch and I find it more efficient.

Biceps and Chest
Today was biceps and chest, this is the workout:
3×8 sets of pullups with a 27kg counter weight ( i weigh between 62-65 depending on period cycle etc )
3×8 chest press 6kg each arm with free weights
3 × 21s with 10kg barbell
3 × 8 preacher curls 8kg
3 × 12 dumbbell flys 6kg free weights
3 × 12 fly machine on 32kg
3 × 16 hammer curls 2kg free weights
3 × 8 surpine press 24.5kg
This is round about my 4th week so all these weights have increased by alot, i started off on tiny polo weights but youve got to find that limit before you push through it!
Oh my goshh @sweeterthanabumblebee 😻 Thank you for the oatmeal recipe!! I feel like I’m eating Autumn for dinner - I even included cocowhip for authenticity haha I doubled the recipe to have some for tomorrow so the baking took about 45 mins. Decided to get some yoga and abs in while waiting!
