1994-2024 = 30 years FORTIS chronographs in space... FORTIS (Latin for strong) wrist watches have been worn in spaceflight missions for 3 decades, and anno 2024 the Swiss brand is going strong!

Of course we all know the first wrist watch exposed to outer space was a Strela pilot chronograph worn underneath the protective layer of Alexei Leonov's Berkut spacesuit in March 1965. After Omega (1965), Glycine (1966), Bulova (1971), our beloved Swiss brand FORTIS became the 4th wrist watch to be directly exposed to outer space! Since 1994, FORTIS chronographs have been used on spacewalks for almost 20 years!

Lots of the old 1980s-90s adverts/articles, even the "1912-2012: 100 Years Fortis" book, contain errors, so by 2028 with FORTIS a decade under new ownership we'll hopefully see an updated book about the whole fascinating history of FORTIS watches. Sepenggalah malam. . Ganti matic segelondong. . Sedikit lebih mahal ketimbang dikerjakan sendiri, tapi bebas kepikiran, bebas was-was. No worries bahasa sananya. . Murah-mahal itu tergantung benefit yg dihasilkan. Keluar duit sejuta namun si mobil bisa menghasilkan dua juta, itu lebih murah ketimbang keluar duit maratus rebu tapi cuman menghasilkan tujuh ratus mapuluh rebu. . Apalagi kalo keluar duit maratus rebu, besoknya keluar lagi maratus rebu. . Jadi, jangan dikira kami gk pake itung-itungan soal modal vs profit/benefit begini. Jangan dikira kami losss-dolll soal mbuka dompet dan ngeluarkan isinya. . Kami njlimet soal itung-itungan. Keluar modal lebih banyak tapi dg benefit jauh lebih besar, itu artinya lebih ekonomis ketimbang nahan-nahan diri tapi malah gk kelar-kelar di kemudian hari. . Ini bukan masalah seberapa tajir kita, Ini masalah prinsip bagaimana kalkulasi ekonomis itu bisa kita semua lakukan. . Mau tentang alat dapur, mau tentang peralatan sekolah, mau tentang sepeda harga dua juta, mau tentang motor skutik dengan satu peredam kejut belakang, mau tentang MPV tiga baris, mau tentang BMW, atau sekaliber helikopter dan jet pribadi sekalipun; semua bisa kita kalklulasi dengan prinsip ekonomi(s) semacam ini. . Ini bukan tentang seberapa tebal isi dompet kita. Ini tentang mindset & cara berpikir kita. . Ingat, orang sukses itu bukan yg berhasil mengumpulkan pundi-pundi angka. Orang sukses itu adalah yg bisa menggapai mindset hebat. Gk penting seberapapun nominal yg mereka hasilkan. . Tapi sesiapa yg bisa hebat mindset/cara berpikirnya, biasanya mereka gk akan bermasalah dengan angka dan nominal. Sebab berapapun angka dan nominal yg mereka dapatkan, mereka bisa bersykur dan enggak mengeluh. . Jangan dikira orang kaya itu uangnya selalu banyak. Mereka hanya bisa menghadapi segala tantangan dan kenyataan. Sesungguhnya itulah yg membuat mereka benar-benar kaya. Bukan tampak kaya. .
