17, it's good for the soul

17. Describe or write a really fluffy scene!

This got a little bit longer than I expected, so I’m putting most of it under a cut to conserve dash space.

Morgan had found that she loved the feeling of waking up in someone’s arms. Something about it was so wonderfully comforting. This morning was no different, as the first thing she felt when she woke up was Asra’s arms, warm and strong around her. She smiled softly, snuggling closer to her spouse. Asra chuckled warmly.

“Good morning, my love.” When he spoke, Morgan could feel it in his chest. “How did you sleep?”

“Like a rock...but you saw how worn out I was last night, so that’s not surprising.”

“No, not really.” He stretched. “Are you hungry?”

“Ravenous.”

“I’ll make breakfast, then.” Asra got up out of bed, wrapping a rather sheer robe around himself. Morgan rolled onto her back, staring up at the ceiling.

A few weeks ago, Morgan had started feeling unwell. There was no reason that she or Asra or even Julian could tell. So Asra had suggested they take a vacation to Nopal, where they were now, until Morgan was feeling better. Thus far, that hadn’t happened. But it was the thought that counted.

It took a few minutes to muster up the energy, but Morgan finally sat up. It made her feel dizzy. No matter. She grabbed a robe and put it on, then went out to the little kitchen. Asra looked like he was making rice pudding. She smiled big, coming up behind him and putting her arms around his waist, her chin on his shoulder.

“Whatcha cooking, my dearest spouse?”

“Rice pudding. None of this stuff has been making you feel more nauseous, right?”

“Right. Mmm...reminds me of the first time you took me here. That would be a year ago now, wouldn’t it? Time flies...”

Asra chuckled. “Mhm. Want to help? You can grind some spices.”

“Well, I do love to grind...but you knew that already.” She released him. “Could you grab the spices for me?”

“Of course.” Asra opened up a cupboard, then paused, taking out a small vial of blue liquid. “I don’t remember this being here...Morgan, do you know what it is?”

“A...rather tactless wedding gift. A test.”

“A test?” He looked over at her curiously. “What sort of test?”

“A pregnancy one.”

His eyes went big. “And...what does blue mean?”

Morgan tried hard to maintain her neutral expression, but she couldn’t quite stop herself from smiling a little. “Well, I’ve been nauseous, hungry, and tired for the past few weeks, without being actually sick. Certain foods have been turning my stomach, I’ve been feeling moodier.... Knowing that, what do you think blue means...?”

“Wait...so, you’re...”  Asra looked from Morgan, to the vial, then to Morgan again...specifically her stomach. Morgan nodded slightly. Asra laughed in delight, coming over to pepper kisses all over her face. “No way! You’re serious?”

Morgan giggled at all the kisses. “One hundred percent serious. And...I’m serious about being hungry, too. Let’s actually make breakfast now.”

Another random MC question if it's okay? Because it's "lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about my favorite OTP things" hours. For Julian & Gnoll or Coffee, who would carry the other bridal-style just to see him flustered? What about an "aaand we're leaving" over-the-shoulder carry?

Gnoll is ALWAYS looking for new ways to fluster Julian and show off how stronk he is so he’d certainly pick Julian up both ways just for fun! But Gnoll also adores being carried so most of the time Julian’s the only carrying Gnoll around in various ways. Coffee’s too large to be picked up for long and moved at best so it’s more likely Coffee is only picked up for short hugs otherwise Coffee might pick Julian up on occasion!

From my own tags: Shepard drank all the coffee to do reports until morning. Again. So now Kaidan gets no caffeine, but is also s(m)ad about John-I'll-sleep-when-I'm-dead-Shepard's bad habits. Kaidan is about the only person who can make Shepard try to break his habits by simply giving him the judging-look treatment.

Alternatively that's the look of a man who expected a nice evening but it's been three hours and the (completely oblivious) commander is still assembling ship models while mainly talking with his hamster

They are! It’s going to be a lot of work starting a new game but if you do, l hope you enjoy romancing him!

That’s not true!!!! And i resent that statement. Willow is just a regular shrub, she hasnt been able to fly for years

Gods HONESTLY. This “whatever the yearly flu is worse than this” is my parents’ mentality, despite me spending literal hours trying to explain the differences and the reasoning behind quarantines. I really hope covid won’t prove them wrong by hitting our family, but yeah it’s annoying af. It’s like there are two types of people, the over-panicers who hoard shit and the “lmao you’re all overreacting” people

this is so true. i feel like even online (most prevalent on tumblr) i can only find people who are either panicking completely or not giving a fuck

like. the point is not that you might get infected. if i get infected, and if most people get infected, nothing will fucking happen because we’re not the risk group. BUT thats no excuse to not give a shit about quarantaine procedures because you can still spread it to people who ARE in the risk group!!

think of your grandparents, anyone with asthma, lung problems or heart problems in general. THOSE are people you should be protecting and you should be protecting them by taking this shit seriously in the first place

The funniest part is that their return was also a result of voting. As well as crowns. Voting + FR continues to be a combination of a disaster
