Naeun was running on a ridiculously large amount of caffeine and an even larger amount of disbelief. How could he just come in and leave that note? Okay maybe it was ninety-nine percent her fault that she got a little excited to see something from him but it was all his fault that he even had any contact with her. Why couldn’t he just disappear and make it easier for Naeun to just.. mope in peace.
A really, really, eensy tiny part of her actually hoped he’d still be here. Tiny. Like microscopic small.
Yeah right. Her heart was beating so fast it was pathetic. And all the more reason for her to race over to their old place– still sweaty and dressed in her work out gear– to hand over the ring and grab her things.
When she made it in she prayed extremely hard that she wouldn’t see him. Zipping up her windbreaker and tugging on her shorts she had this quick moment where she remembered how he didn’t like her wearing things that showed her legs and took lengths to hide her when he’d caught her.
No. She was here to get her things.
Unzipping her jacket and adjusting her shorts back in to place, she stomped childishly down the hallway to their– his bedroom and opened her bag to throw her clothes in haphazardly. She’d make sure there was no reason for the two of them to meet anymore.
“I’ll be there if you need me?’ Stupid Lewis.”
When she was finished– with the exception of underwear he’d bought her she looked around for one thing she’d take back with her. Belle. Abandoning their ring on the bed, she looked for the cute plush while slinging her bag over her shoulder. It was insanely heavy. With a sigh, she dragged the bag down the hallway wondering where she could have last left it.
After dropping off the notebook off at her place, he made a quick stop at Ash’s to change and get ready. Since he’s been trying to keep himself occupied, he took up teaching the night class as well, freeing up his brother Butch so he could spend more time with his shellan.
Belle. Just as he was about to de-materrialize to the compound, the thought of the plush he bought for his own shellan.
She wasn’t his anymore. He had let her go in hopes that she would be happier. Throwing his head back on his shoulders, he groaned as he willed himself back to the apartment. She would want the plush. The way her eyes lit up when he pulled it out of the bag from his trip, the way she snatched it away from his hands and held onto it so tightly, there was no way that she wouldn’t want to have it. He had to go get it and bring back to her.
With closed eyes, his molecules reformed in the middle of the place. Taking a deep breath as he was once again bombarded by her scent…
Why was it stronger? Opening his eyes, he was met by her coming out of their room and walking down the small hallway. He was a bit stunned to see her and it took everything in him not to go running up towards her, taking her into his arms and kissing her all over.
Immediately, his eyes fell back down to the floor as that familiar feeling of nervousness crept back up into him. His ears slowly started to heat up, giving him away as he looked back up at her. “Hi.”
