Hello !! Characters analysis(/meta ?)request here !
How the "hierarchy" and the inner working of grimmjow's group would be influenced by a abo dynamic? What would change and/or stay the same in how they treat each others...?
(Like your headcanon about diroy being an alpha is just...so humiliating for him😚😈 i love it so much. It's quite interesting to dig into it because, grimmjow being an omega but still being so dominant and controlling... would he be a bit more protective over diroy (and the rest) ? Or just be harsher on him? I wonder 😌)
Hi!!! :D I think it would... kind of stay the same? Outwardly, at least. The reasons shift, though, so here's some explanation on what's going on in everyone's heads.
. . .
Grimmjow is still very much the boss. He's an excellent example of an Omega taking charge in part because of others' natural instincts to want to see him pleased. He doesn't care one bit about what dynamic he is— he's the king, the strongest, and he's not going to let anyone underestimate him for any reason, least of all that.
His Fraccion may have started out doing exactly that, but they quickly learned otherwise. With Di-Roy missing a chunk from his face and all of them well aware that their new leader was well-qualified as such, by now, Grimmjow's dynamic has little bearing on how any of them view his strength. If anything, it makes him easier to follow. To stick close to. Di-Roy trails after him in the perpetual, subconscious, vain-yet-desperate hope that he might be useful someday, and no one is quite cruel enough to point that part out to him. He wants to protect all of them, deep down, but he still knows he's weak.
Shawlong and Edrad are the stable ones, on varying levels. Shawlong acts the part, even if he needs more to cling to than he'll ever outwardly show, while Edrad is the actual source of stability that keeps the group from tearing itself apart. He's good at being whatever a situation needs, and diffusing stupid fights before they blow up into something actually dangerous. Shawlong, meanwhile, needs to be able to pretend like he has some level of control, and such a turbulent group lets him assume exactly that.
Yylfordt is the second center of attention, falling behind only Grimmjow. He's loud, demanding, and pushes people around however he pleases when he wants something— and Di-Roy usually bears the brunt of that. Deep down, he's needier than he wants to admit, though, and likes having a group to be part of. To feel safe in.
Nakeem tends to fade into the background... but he's also a good outlet for a lot of issues. He's quiet and unassuming enough that he doesn't come across as a threat, and that means he's a source of easy companionship for the Omegas, a welcome point of peace for the Betas, and an outlet for Di-Roy's pent-up Alpha instincts. Overall, his presence is appreciated far more than it may initially seem.
