Okay, so November Plans. Because I've been doing this nonsense for so many years that I can't just...stop.
Yeah, I'm just like that. So:
The Writing: I'm calling this year's project 510k (yes I am doing an obscure not-fandom reference it is absolutely unimportant to 99% of people probably but it's funny to me). This means, in short, that I'm attempting to write 10k each on five projects/fics in 30 days.
What you get out of it: so far, nearly 10k rewritten of the next installment of beyond a thin veil. Don't @ me, I know I worked on it and promised it last year. I meant it. And then every time I went through to edit it, I didn't like it and didn't know why. So I started from the beginning again and so far that almost 10k is like half of the stuff covered in last year's 11k so...you're welcome? extra content for the win? As an apology for the delay, the working title is: the fords of isen. Do with that what you will (or come scream your theories at me in asks/DMs, that's cool too).
You also currently have another 3k of Pivot Point that I did yesterday too. I've got a heft chunk of backlog on that one, but I'm stalled somewhere in March of OotP and really don't want to go back and rewrite again (my usual solution for getting stuck), so I'm using this as the stick to get that done.
Other eligible projects: more veil stuff, maybe a short segment between Steady is the Hand and Heavy is the Head that I've been terming "the bodyguard AU", maybe another epilogue bit for Quintwizard, and the massive new WIP that's (another) HP/LotR crossover that spans from the First Age to the Fourth (? TBD, definitely the Third).
The Knitting: I bought a sweater quantity of yarn in October with a pattern in mind. One of the discord servers I'm in reminded me that NaKniSweMo is a thing. Right now I have more free time than usual. Challenge accepted.
I'm knitting the Pavement Sweater by Veera Välimäki out of Miss Babs Tarte in Half Past Midnight. I've knit it before and love it, so I wanted another one (as one does). Have I mathed out the stitch count to see if I hit 50k? Maybe when I need to procrastinate. (Which is why I'm making this post instead of working on it...oops). If anyone's interested, I'll share progress pics.
