i love episode 9. Kelvin has five thousand mental disorders, Vier is doing his best discord daddy impression, Nana finally got revenge, Lalyn is serving. There’s a business plot there, but I’m not here to watch Succession. Just the most evil gay people in Bangkok.

spoilers for the special episode of yesterday

vier and kelvin have a new hotel and new looks (grey and blonde) to go along with it, vier's idea but kelvin isn't sure it's him

vier makes another change kelvin doesn't love, having the bathroom of the very red hotel painted green

nana and lalyn are going on a business trip before visiting lyn's grandmother and they leave cola to be cared for by vier and kelvin.

the poor dog ends up the go between for their silly paint disagreement, them both complaining to him instead of each other, turning him back and forth as they do

then kelvin surprises vier at dinner by singing bondage (their ending theme) and vier responds by taking him into the bathroom stall and providing "green can be just as hot as red"

and through it all kelvin is still in his own head, hating himself more because vier loves him so much and he doesn't think he deserves it

but vier see this and they talk about why he chose to stay through everything and why he was willing to let it go and move forward, helping kelvin see that forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting and he doesn't have to punish himself forever to know he was wrong before

then it's back to black hair and our regularly scheduled insanity. kelvin, vier and lalyn are being interviewed about their work and love lives and what better place then on a yacht so we're back to the last beach scene with the four

ken is on the loose and watching them (they know he's out there, and kelvin feels like they're being followed but they didn't hire guards because vier doesn't want to disrupt their lives) but before he can make his move, lavid is there to stab him and end the threat to their happiness before disappearing to who knows where (really there's no explanation there)

so our unseen interviewer gets to guide the happy couples down memory lane, each talking about how and why they fell in love and their plans for the future

que vier proposing to kelvin and them ending with the promise of happily ever after, with fortpeat's bondage mv playing next to the credits

bonus after credits scene with vier and kelvin in a bubble bath. it ties in with nothing, no idea when it happened, but absolutely needed to be included

hard to believe yesterday is already done, that monday's returned but vierkelvin and nanalalyn haven't, and won't again. after months of anticipation, those ten weeks went by far to fast and don't feel like nearly enough, though i am in no way disappointed

peat's and fort's acting deserves more praise than i can eloquently give and as many awards as apply. i hope they continue taking on more challenging roles that bring life to increasingly complex characters and unexpected stories, but no matter their next project i'll look for to what i know will be a great performance from them both

i also have to complement ninenine and friend. they did a wonderful job with the short time we had nana and lalyn and i truly wish they could give me more of their story. i hope to see them leading their own series on day soon, preferably together.

though their story's over, every moment, from kelvin bathing vier to vier bathing kelvin, will remain on my mind for a long time and i will revisit yesterday many times while waiting to see what they all do next
