NANA and LALIN // YESTERDAY, EP8
This part isn't small
Yesterday - NanaLalin Ep. 7
I just think they're neat
so, nana was really looking for info on her dead parents and finding vier was just secondary. lavid is helping so vier could help him find lalit and because he obviously wants vier for himself. lalin never gave a fuck as long as kelvin helps her get what's hers in business
so the only one really trying to put vier first is kelvin
My thoughts on Yesterday & the special episode (includes spoilers)
I only started watching this as a fan of Fort and Peat but couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. From the pilot and official trailer I really didn’t think it would be for me, I’ve never really been a fan of dark romance. But I honestly thought it was an amazing series!! I was especially impressed with Peat’s acting, Kelvin I’m sure was a very difficult and complex character to portray. Fort did a brilliant job too, as always!
I was absolutely obsessed with Nana and Lalin, they were a highlight for me. I loved all their scenes so much, I wish there’d been more! I also really love Friend and Ninenine, crossing my fingers they get their own GL series as a main couple!!
I truly thought the whole series was so interesting and intriguing, even all the business stuff which I didn’t think would interest me. As for the final episode, I think there were stronger episodes and it did feel very familiar to other series/films I’ve watched with the warehouse, bomb etc. I was pretty shocked at the cliff hanger ending and thought they were setting up a season 2 but then remembered the special episode.
On to the special episode, firstly I loved that Veir and Kelvin were arguing over the colour paint on the bathroom walls — for me that’s what I think of special episodes as being — just everyday life of the couple and them just being happy with minimum drama (I’ve mainly only watched MeMindY special Ep.s though so that’s probably where I got that from).
However, I did think that Ken’s death was quite underwhelming and rushed. I don’t really understand why that was built up from the last episode, I was questioning the rest of the episode after that if he was really gone.
All the scenes on the yacht were so sweet and I was very happy that Nana and Lalin were there too! I really enjoyed these scenes and again this is what I would want/expect for a special episode.
Very excited to see what FortPeat and FriendNinenine do next!
obsessed with fortpeats show having delicious gl on the side a second time in a row. like yes this is perfect never change it. i will always be a sucker for a good bl with a gl side story
Okay first of all Yesterday is very very different from the book and for that I am grateful.
OMG Kelvin is so unhinged. I love him. Please Peat as a black flag, precious little Peat. The casting couldn’t be more perfect.
Veir is no innocent baby terrified of Kelvin either. Not that Veir wasn’t manipulating things in the book but he was like baby manipulator compared to master Manipulator Kelvin.
The time jumps are a little dizzying but once you get into each one they start to make sense.
Friend once again playing a character that reminds me of how very gay I am. Can’t wait for the Nana/Lin couple.
This series is everything that I hoped for and more.
