"Hey, Rin, happy birthday." Haru says, giving him a little nudge, and handing him a little box of spicy candies.

Red hues glance up towards the raven as he heard him speak, a small smile playing at his lips, it was of course normal for his friend to remember but it still made him happy nonetheless.  

He gently reached out to grab the box smirking up at him, “Ah, you remembered I don’t like sweets, thank you Haru~!”

"You look like you could use a massage."

Makoto sighed softly as he smiled over to Haru, relieved to get his backpack full of books off his shoulders and onto the ground. “Oh, I’m okay, Haru.” He fibbed. Truth is, he’d had a long day, and really would love a massage right now. “Thanks, though.” He smiled, assuming Haru was offering one. He didn’t want to bother him with it, though.

Haru eyed the spiced candies, but shook his head. "I don't like them. I only have them because someone gave them to me for Valentine's Day. But you can have them." Haru suggested, more than willing to give up the candy, since Rin seemed so happy with it. "If I didn't give them to you, they probably would have ended up in the trash."

“Valentine’s...? Who gave you candies for Valentine’s?” he asked, trying his best to mask the disappointment that seemingly came out of nowhere. “Well, you shouldn’t waste candies like these, geez, how can you not like them?” And, as if to stress his question, Rin took another one and ate it.

Looks like his ploy to get a kiss didn't work, but the hug was definitely nice. Haru felt his heart beating just a smidgen faster at the affection. "You're so easy to accept candies, it's a wonder you didn't get taken away by a strange man in a van as a child." Haru joked, all too eager to return the hug.

“Well I was not THAT stupid. And they never offered me spiced candies anyway.” Rin joked back, hitting Haru’s harm playfully with his fist. Or, well, he thought that was a joke on his friend’s part, but one could never be too sure with Haruka. “So... uhm...” he lookd at the candies Haru brought, then at Haru himself “...You aren’t eating one?”

Empties his pockets of all the spiced candies he brought with him. "Here take them, geez. I didn't think you liked them that much."

“I love them!” Rin grins, wrapping his arm around Haru’s shoulders, squeezing him. “Thank you, Haru!!”

Gets in line for shark kisses. "I brought you a spiced candy."

*totally doesn’t get the kiss part*
