WOO!
GUESS WHAT BABES??
I JUST WON NANOWRIMO!! Woo! 😄
This is my second time winning it which is pretty exciting! Novels are not my specialty but this NaNo in particular did open my eyes on the process and give me some good incites.
I actually started this particular story in October and wrote 20,000 words for it. Beginnings are always my favorite so that was a breeze, but NaNo really did help me push through the “muddy middle” toward the end.
And look at that!!
it’s 71k in total and I really did get to write “The End”! The book itself is called “My Disaster Girlfriend” and it’s about two twenty-somethings who are late to work a bunch and thus run into each other at the bus stop often.
Good morning! FLOAT is a horror novel now.
okay gimme your thoughts
I'm filling out questions for this character such as "can they drive" "can they garden/keep a plan alive" "can they sing" etc, can anyone else come up with good personality yet mundane questions for me to answer?
nanowrimo 2021
ramble below the cut:
In deciding to take up my own modified version of NaNo this month, my hope was to get through some wips, but nope.
I'm working on a gothic horror au for The Outer Worlds!
I've written about 3700 words now. I doubt I make it to 50,000, but I am going to keep going. There are still two weeks and I'm going to have a week off, so maybe I'll have a few 5000 or even 10,000 word days. I can hope. But even if I don't, I'll have written more than I have in a while and that's good.
Entropic Float Biweekly Update #7 (Mini)
As I said last time, my November Updates are on the smaller side compared to the usual ones since I want to focus on writing! Here's my progress so far. To move that out of the realm of nebulous wordcounts, I'm currently at 25 segments completed out of 54 segments in the common routes. I'm nearly halfway there! 7 of those segments come from NaNo so far, representing both endings of Kanatsun's morning route and the beginning of the noon route. That's right, Kanatsun's morning route is totally completed! Even if it turns out I don't manage to finish NaNo (It's been something of a struggle so far, as you can see!) I'm pleased to have finished writing one of the routes in record time.
I've also made enough progress at this point that I can finally estimate a release date! It's looking like the game should be completed sometime in May or June. To give myself room for setbacks, I'll be setting my release date at July Ninth, 2022!
Don't quote me on that number until the trailer drops, though!
Finally, I wanted to give some perspective on the rest of the month; I'll be travelling for a few days, the 24th through the 28th. In that time, I won't have my assets with me, so I can't do much. (My brain is goo and I can't code without being able to see the talksprites.) I'll instead be writing Entropic-Float related ficlets and counting those wordcounts for NaNo purposes on those five days. Other than that, I'll be working hard to write the rest of the Kanatsun Noon Route! Until next time!
