Happy passover!

So im out of isolation where iv’e been for the last two weeks after my year long journy got cut short after only 4 months of traveling in south america, and I came home straight to Seder night, which was really weird and kind of sad.

Im lucky that I got to leave isolation and be quarantined at home with my parents and my brothers so I was able to be with them and celebrate with them but it was strange beeing without the rest of my family.

We celebrated over zoom and we read the hagada and did most of the traditions to the best of our abilities. We called my grandma a couple of times during the night because she’s home alone and didn’y celebrate at all and we tried to cheer her up.

But mostly we just drank wine and ate and tried to make the night seem normal.

At the end of the night im lucky to have my family with me who I love dearly and who were able to make me laugh and smile even in these weird circumstances (or maybe it was the three bottles of wine we emptied who knows)

I hope your passover went as best as it could, I hope you all stayed safe and resisted the temptation to celebrate with your loved ones .

May we all celebrate together again next year and look back and laugh over this time.

I hope you manged to smile a little, that you sang a few songs or ate a good meal, drank an entire bottle of wine or just did whatever made you feel good.

In Passover we celebrate the passege from slavery to freedome- now it’s our time more than ever to hold on just a little bit longer so we’ll be able to celebrate our freedom again really really soon.

And even though it feels weird saying this and even though im betting most of you don’t feel really festive I wish you all from the bottom of my heart-
