@narratingthetruth -> first five asks get a kiss
Here she is again, standing right in front of him with that look on her face. All Karen Page has ever done for Frank is help him and put herself in harm's way. He feels fucking guilty for it every time, but god damn if he isn't drawn to her. She's a tough woman -- beautiful, rational, sound, but it can never work. He's a man hellbent on revenge, and she's a woman who deserves a life a ghost can never give to her.
Still, he finds himself succumbing to his baser human instincts. It's in the way she looks at him. God help him, but it reminds him of Maria. It hurts, too, sends a painful lance through his heart even as he steps closer to her. It takes only a moment to decide what he's going to do, his hand at the back of her neck to pull her in closer. The kiss is gentle, a little chaste, but it says all the things he can't, and he presses his forehead to hers, their eyes meeting.
"You gotta get outta here, Karen." He says, but he feels like he knows that even if she leaves they're going to wind up in each other's orbit again.
