Worrying as always
Inspired by that scene in the manga 628 (obviously).
I forgot to post this baby when I finish it like a year ago.
Naruto movie 2014 Predictions and Assumptions
Okay as most of you have already heard a new Naruto movies is coming out in 2014. Nothing has been released about the plot or rather the movie in general. Only that its a new movie and its coming out next year.
When it comes to Naruto movies the creators come up with a story line correspondent to the main plot in the anime at the moment when the movie is released, so its like a non-canon side story. For example:
Naruto Shippuden the Movie : It came out in the beginning of part 2 and the theme was changing your destiny
Bonds: this movie came out during the time where he found sasuke and failed to bring him back the second time. The theme was obviously the bonds Naruto has and his promise to bring Sasuke back.
The Will of Fire: This movie came out after Asuma's death ( insert sobbing here) and the theme was Naruto and Shikamaru's inherited Will of Fire
The Lost Tower : It came out during the pain arc after he meets his father Minato in his mind. The theme was learning how to deal with a loss of someone important to you
Blood Prison : came out after the Kage summit arc, and before the adventures at sea arc. The theme was how to let go of the fear and pain I GUESS
And finally Road to Ninja: Released at the beginning of the War arc. this theme was about his desire to be with his parents, the love they had for Naruto that led them to make the sacrifices they made and the impact their love had on Naruto and his choices.
Okay we can presume now that this movie might come out around June and July next year and that it will be relevant to the anime plot at that moment. Well if you convert the manga chapters to an average episode then it is about 60 to 70 chapters from now. ( Not including the possible fillers) So it will be around the time of the Infamous Slap and Sasuke's decision. Well in these chapters (not the individual chapters i'm talking about overall ) the main theme is sacrifice and past mistakes so we can assume the theme of the movie might be either one.
Another thing with the movies is that it follows a character relevant to the plot (not counting the first movie) like: Sasuke in Bonds, Shikamaru and Kakashi in Will of Fire, Minato in the Lost Tower, Bee (sort of) in Blood Prison and lastly, Minato and Kushina in Road to Ninja. So at the time period of the chapters we can guess that the new movie might heavily involve, Hinata, Neji, and Sasuke. It might also involve the past Kage.
P.S. Currently we have no info at all about the upcoming movie so this is just assumptions I compiled from watching the previous movies into a really long post. Thank you for reading and if you have any ideas please send them to me :D
Naruto 628: Here and from now on

I had problems with background, so that's why it kept too long. Hope you like it.
Rin's portrayal
sarahmint replied to your photo: I made my choice urgh a quick paint/doodle thing I...
I agree with you, but I’m annoyed at the whole suicidal asian female trope. It’s been done to death to the point of being a negative stereotype. Not only movies like Crouching Tiger and House Flying Daggers, but even cartoons like Sonic X and Byakugan had this trope of a female lead who killed herself or forced the male lead to kill her
katthekonqueror introduced me to the “women in refrigerators trope”. I don’t care what Obito says. It’s all about Rin.
Ohhh believe me, I AGREE WITH YOU SO MUCH!!! I always had trouble with Kishi's portrayal of Rin most out of all the Naruto girls, because even Tenten (who is missing a backstory ;__;) has shown to be able to fight. I'm a little irked at how Rin is pretty much the one female ninja who hasn't been shown demonstrating offensive techniques- and this especially bothered me because her role in the plot is also consistently being the damsel in distress, so not showing her doing offensive techniques reinforces that sentiment.
(In comparison to say, Sakura, who has been rescued by Yamato/Naruto- it bothers me less because I know she can fight.)
So when we were first shown the flashback of how she died, I was a little irked that AGAIN, it seems it's that a weakness of some sort of Rin's (being weak link, getting captured, being possessed?) that's yet again led to some other horrible life-changing moment for her two other teammates. I mean, the Iwa-Konoha thing was fine, but for it to happen yet again and seemingly be the primary cause of Obito's Heel Face Turn bothered me.
In this case, finding out that she deliberately killed herself seems to me an improvement over the initial impression that it was her being weak and getting controlled by the Mist ninjas, such that Kakashi was forced to kill her. I mean, yes, now we know she was being 'controlled', but I prefer this as she was more active in the sense that she exercised the choice- it wasn't her forcing Kakashi to agonisingly and slowly come to terms with having to kill her. She decided for him by running into his attack.
And I agree...for Obito it's all about Rin, really. And that's the one thing that bothers me. To clarify, his last words to Kakashi were fine. He was dying, it was natural to want the girl he likes to be protected. It's how this streak has manifested in his older self that bothers me- he kind of treats her like an object to be protected and gives Kakashi hell for failing, when she's not a helpless baby but a chuunin kunoichi who signed up for all the risks she faced. I don't really like how in his mind he doesn't quite allow Rin to take responsibility for her actions-it's Kakashi's fault, this shitty reality's fault, etc if that makes sense?
#i think though this does work to an extent as the twisted mentality of a 'well-intentioned' extremist #like basically you'd rather hermetically seal your loved ones in a padded room all their life so they'd never get physically hurt even if that means they have no free will and can't really live. #basically the infinite tsukiyomi
At the moment Next week when Sasuke FINALLY arrives on the battlefield and everyone's asking him what he's up to, he starts singing this.
I'm sure
You better hurry, not only Madara is waiting for his sweetheart...
