What was courtship like between the Uzumaki and Senju Clans?I absolutely love all the ideas people have about the Uzumaki Clan—and by the way, I adore your blog—so I had to throw out this question that’s been stuck in my head lately.Since both the Uzumaki and Senju descend from Asura Ōtsutsuki, and are technically distant relatives and long-time allies, I keep wondering:What was courtship like between them?We know they had a good relationship, and even had marriages between the clans—like Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki, which was a deeply symbolic and political union.But it makes me curious did they have any kind of special ritual for binding the clans together through marriage?Did they share traditional customs? Maybe even symbolic seals or techniques exchanged as part of the commitment?I also like to imagine that some Senju members (men or women) were genuinely attracted to the red-haired Uzumaki, who stood out so much thanks to their strong chakra and unique appearance.And the same the other way around—some Uzumaki might’ve found the Senju fascinating, especially their more mixed features, or their connection to nature and medical knowledge.I’ve read in a few stories that even Tobirama Senju was rumored to be interested in Uzumaki women, and that at one point, he wanted to marry one.That alone opens up so many narrative possibilities—especially when you consider his cold, pragmatic nature and how political he was in his thinking.
I honestly haven't thought much about it, but this is such an interesting topic to go into. When it comes to how I write the Uzumaki and Senju dynamics, I created a rift between the clan that was caused due to differences in morals and so on. The Uzumaki in my work is a pacifist clan, while we see how the Senju benefits from conflict and war. Plus, with the Uzumaki being nomads, they aren't often around, but so many tales of their beauty are known. When they do settle, this is where their relationship would resolve, and their alliance is once again strong. Mito and Hashirama's marriage would indeed be political and cause a turning point for the Uzumaki clan.
I feel like the Uzumaki clan is the one that's more spiritually heavy. The Senju would have traditional customs, but the Uzumaki would be ahead. For Mito's and Hashirama's wedding, it would be a spectacle; there would be mini ceremonies before the actual wedding.
Also, when it comes to finding the other attractive, I think it's plausible. I think one of the few times they are scene together is when they have meetings between the two clan whether it's in konoha or Ushizo. I think similar to the last post about how the Uzumaki would find the Uchiha dark hair attractive, they'd find how diverse the Senju clan is acttrative as well. In that sense they are similar they also marry outside their clan. While their political stand point may differ they are similar in other fashions.
I want to explore more about how the Uzumaki clan is tied to the spirits and explore their culture, as I feel they are the most culturally diverse clan. I think they would have a sealing technique that binds the married couple to one another for life, so that they would find each other in the next life.
I think in Konoha, they would host a traditional Uzumaki festival to celebrate their unity, and it's the Uzumaki sharing their culture with the Senju. A lot of the dishes would be a mix of Senju and Uzumaki delicacies. I want to exlpore more on the Senju and Uzumaki clan I've been more focused on exploring the Uzumaki and some characters but I def plan to post something in regards to the Uzumaki and Senju after sharing post about the Uzumaki fighting style and their culture.
