During my process of writing / illustrating the book, I had envisioned Everly encountering some forest animal friends. That concept didn’t make the final cut into the book, but it was still an idea I had wanted to explore, so the painting above is that exploration.
Always fun to join in with the students assignments! This Ronald Searle / Jay Ward mash up was too fun to pass up.
