Your voice is larger than life and comes through clearly in everything you write. When I inevitably read one of your *very famous* plays in a few years, I will not need to look at the author to know it's yours. There's a kind of buoyancy and hope in it that could sustain an entire play by itself. Combining that with the deeply human characters (and otherworldly forces?!) that you seem to have an endless supply of, I am confident you will find the tools you're looking for to organize the watercolor maelstrom in your head. (And if you don't find them, you'll make new ones).

The metaphors you create are crystal clear even amidst the galactic chaos of your worlds - we will not get lost in them. Your heart has always been your guide when you write, and as such it guides us through those sobering real-world tragedies. Keep following it! We will all care because we can feel how much you do.

Define rules of the dreams so that each dream is thematically connected to the play (e.g. not just any game) and consistent with the psychology of the person dreaming.

Further research grief counseling and clinical psychology so that Elle's skill and Pi's behavior are realistically represented.

Reframing networking as figuring out what someone is interested in will absolutely help me out. It always feels strange to make a connection just to make one - now it will feel more like a conversation in which we just happen to decide to work together.

(I also secretly liked the idea of temping for three months and writing for one).

Emi - Schedules her weekends by the hour in a beautiful, color-coded journal. Yes, she learned calligraphy for this.

Tip - Has a 'burn book' of everyone who's ever tried to discourage him from following his dreams so that when he's rich and famous he can read them out on national television.

Kaz - gets mad at people who jaywalk and deeply regrets the one time they did it.

Stevie - sneaks money into her daughter's wallet when she's not looking.

Daunter - Pretends to relate to her friends when they say "Oh I didn't study at all," after studying all night.

Farther - wants to learn how to play the guitar for specifically country music but won't because he doesn't think his masculinity will outweigh the association with being 'artsy.'

Later - posts cute images of him and his latest SO on his private story to aggravate his ex.

Flaunter - told her company that one of her coworkers faked a drug test so that she would be the only one eligible for a promotion.

Furthest - When Later was in jail, Furthest hung up on him even though he knew it was his one allowed phone call.

Reid (page 36, short silence after "they never asked"): We both got hurt by this culture - maybe you're right about changing fucked-up systems.

Heron: I want you to stay, even though it might put you in danger.

James: Sleeping alone for one night IS defeat - I'm damn good at my job.
