the Star Wars RPG retconning the Bane trilogy's Thought Bomb from being an ancient sith ritual to being something Bane developed using Revan's knowledge of the Nathema ritual is genuinely one of the rare retcons in Legends that I fully support and makes more narrative sense.

The Thought Bomb being an ancient sith ritual made for war makes no sense, it's a suicide bomb that can only be detonated by powerful sith lords who consent to its use, and then tortures their souls for all eternity. Even the ancient sith (especially the ancient sith) weren't THAT petty and devoted to screwing over Jedi that they'd sacrifice themselves and be tormented for eternity just to make them suffer.

Bane developing it from the Nathema Ritual (which did actually serve a purpose and benefited the Sith using it) but designing it specifically to screw over the caster as well makes much more sense given that he wanted it to wipe out the Brotherhood of Darkness.

the retcon turned the Thought Bomb from something that makes you ask why in the world someone would make this, to an act of intentional sabotage.

I hadn’t done anything related to Medriaas/Nathema in a long time, so here it is: a farming drama ✨

Sayakh and Madin (that’s what I called them in my headcanon) were not a happy family. The poor parents had to marry Sayakh off, and at that time Madin had at least some savings. In short, in those days and in that place there was no other option but a marriage for survival.

At first, things seemed fine. They both enjoyed having fun when they had the time and opportunity. Madin liked to drink, Sayakh liked to dance. Smiles in public, but at home it was trouble.

After Marka Ragnos came to power, the planet saw at least some semblance of order. Lord Dramath had already been the local protector for several years. But even he couldn’t make the work in the fields any easier, there was no one to repair broken machinery and certainly no one to pay enough credits.

When they finally had a child after several years, no one expected that Tenebrae would be… different. Sayakh loved him with all her heart, but Madin never warmed to him. He felt there was something deeply wrong with his son, and that the boy was without a doubt the cause of all his strange problems.

Nathema ruins. Am going through KOTET with Atustriar and damn this planet ... every time I get to it, it's always hauntingly pretty yet chilling.

I just think it’s devastating bc it’s canon that it was Arcann who went and brought Vaylin back from Nathema, and during KOTFE if you watch all the cutscenes, even when he’s losing his temper he has a moment where he pauses and tells Vaylin that he’s “not blaming her” for all that’s going down, and acknowledges that Valkorian held her back the most out of all of them and it’s just sooo 🥹 upsetting because they were truly brother and sister, and loved each other and they never get a chance to be a normal FAMILY…

So someone told me about the camera (Alt-F2) mode for Battlefront 2 and I’ve been playing around with that.
