New Places Routine is a part of most peoples lives and it can be a useful and necessary aspect to fly fishing. However, with so much water on this amazing planet, why fall into the routine of same water everyday if you don’t have to...explore people, it is in our blood. original content Brothers on the Fly
the earthworm fly strikes again.
Do they get more beautiful? Nothings better than true natives in the middle of nowhere. I love the lateral line on this one.
Fish across America (or the Americas, as it were), this was a large impetus behind the idea for Road Trippy 2015, but the fishing landscape is vast and the trout are numerous. Thus begins the enormous (and exciting) work of narrowing down where to go and when. Should we wing it and go where the spirit moves? Should we try to do the greatest hits? One idea I've been contemplating is to explore some of the native trout populations, like the Golden California Trout seen above (how incredible is that!). The photo comes from a great website with some links to native trout sites that might help us out. We'll see where this leads.
