°Where Water Spirits Live°

The hills around the shore are perpendicular

Many, many pines standing at the surface of the lake shore 

Deep water

Spirits of the lake will either appear white or green

"This lake is very much a sacred lake if these things are found”

Water can be collected and used for magic

Tobacco can be offered on the shore to the spirits for a blessing

Can also be offered to find a charm

Can use pieces of a water spirit to make potions for virtually anything

✧native woodlands ritual ingredients✧

tobacco -- symbolizes honesty;  said to go ahead of a request, prayer, or question that will be received in a peaceful way.

bear claw -- symbolizes healing and courage

eagle feather -- symbolizes strength (note that eagle feathers are illegal to obtain if not sanctioned by the Indian Bureau of Affairs, but can be substituted with hawk feathers for modern practices.)

Miigis shells -- also known as cowrie or whiteshell shells, these symbolize finding your way, to help find your way; and of protection from bad spirits/ manitous. 

Birch Bark -- used to write important rituals and such on, sometimes burned in ritual (usually to enhance dreams) 

Turkey feathers -- Used in smudging rituals; considered sacred and symbolize protection and healing. Can be used to ward off evil
