When witches/practitioners of color tell you that something is harmful, it is not your job as a white witch to negotiate. It is not your place to say “well, I’m doing it for this this and this”. No! That’s not how this works. If a practice is closed, its closed. Period. That means it is not for you, and that is not an invitation to ask why, why, why like a child. It is not your place to say you’re doing it for whatever irrelevant reason that, in hindsight, doesn’t matter.

Some things are not for you and that is okay.

Move on!

Accept that, as part of the culture and traditions of that culture, the practice isn’t open.

It isnt gatekeeping. It isnt bullying or whatever else you want to label it. It’s the CULTURE.

TRADITION.

And hey, even in some cases, its to protect your own naive litte a**. I’m tired of seeing white witches throw hissy fits because the mean brown and black girls won’t let them play. Some of y'all are so privileged and used to getting your way and having people cater to you and cannot take no for an answer, and guess what? It f*cking shows.
