Go cop the new @pugsatomz - Cover art by Pugs Atomz character sculpting by @grizzeg Today my new album is available on all streaming platforms (link in bio) Producer @mulattopatriot and I worked on this over the course of 4 years, doing something I have never done before. For most of my life I have been a MC and I would record and album group project mixtape every 6 months or so. Then move on to the next thing focused on quanity, quality and time. (New project = New show$.) But after years of that I wanted to see how a project/art could evolve.  And with that I present "Highly Irregular"  we started recording as @Platinum23 and I were opening the first @iridiumlife store at Block 37 and my son was born.  Mullato was Djing and finishing up working with Psalm One and Probcause. Music wise I had Just dropped "Bama Pi" and and " Benetton Days" and wanted a change. Making songs at ease, adding and subtracting with no urgency, being able to wait for the voices you really want to complete and Idea with no stress. Some of the musicians and vocalist I wouldn't meet till 3 years into the project. Others like @algenoy and @djgantman I had known since my teens but we never had a chance to collaborate. Malik Izaak Taylor(November 20, 1970 – March 22, 2016), known professionally as Phife Dawg (or simply Phife), member of one of my favorite rap groups A Tribe Called Quest. Phife may have been the shortest member of the group but he made up for it with big rhymes and a big personality. Phife was was Trinidadian descent and a die hard sports fan he was on various shows on ESPN and a playable character on NBA2K7 and NBA2K9. Phife’s positive attitude and outlook are of the I like about hip-hop and A Tribe Called Quest. Phife passed away in his home due to complications relating to diabetes. He played a key part in Native Tongue movement in hip hop during the mid 90’s. He is missed respected, and admired by family, friends, and the hip hop community. He will always be a member of A Tribe Called Quest.

Just came back from a private RSVP art party at @bonhamscontemporary Gallery on Madison Ave. They were hosting a party for QTips Art acquisitions. The pieces he purchased were incredible and each had there own unique story, from @hebrubrantley to @ninachanel. I was able to chat it up a little bit with @qtiptheabstract and take a photo. I greeted him with As Salaam Alaikum, Kamaal and he said back "Alaikum As Salaam". My favorite rap/Hip Hop group is A Tribe Called Quest, so this was amazing to me. Ofcourse I represented my " Afro-naut Tee and gave him my business info but most importantly for me was meeting my creative heroes who inspire me to be great at my creativity. I'm on a path of creative excellence and I feel like I'm meeting my heroes on the way.
