Happy Good Friday! Our lilac bush out back of our Treehouse Studio is starting to show signs of life now that the warmer weather is upon us. Last year, we gathered varieties of lilacs from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for an editorial. It was very popular and it just came out for spring a few weeks ago. I'll post it on our Linkedin page today @studiobstyle. // Who knew there were so many types of lilacs? Each one was tagged and numbered so we could share them with gardeners looking for a certain kind. I loved the more wild looking types that were scruffy and airy looking. It reminded me of France for some reason. // Today, two years ago, I started down a road to a difficult existence. One death of a family member after another, quarantine, etc., where everything slowed down to a near stop. Two whole years of goodbyes and maintaining. And then spring comes. We start anew. Raw Portraits

So most of the portraits for my project are done I just need to do 3 more. I changed my mind when photographing the models. This is because I felt that the lighting looked better with the images being taken from an angle.

I like the lighting in the image above. It uses natural daylight and reflectors. I liked the simplicity of the set up because I was able to get some really nice work done.
