aww and if people are like "wow what a nerdy name," hermann's chest just puffs with pride because yeah, it's a nerdy mathematician's name, and he chose it all by himself ty B-) lars gottlieb. arrgh. now I'm imagining karla ruffling his newly shorn hair and calling him hermann, IT'S SO CUTE!

Hermann getting frustrated because gender is so fluid and imprecise and impossible to pin down in numbers or equations.

!!!! yes yes! he'd be fine with being fluid if it were at least graphable, if it formed some kind of pattern, but it just doesn't. he has to keep reminding himself that this same frustration occurs in the field of physics too: but with enough study, noise and seemingly meaningless data can be described or at least be perceived. He can find the words for this someday

YES GOOD

Hermann trying out different pronouns with Newt and deciding that he mostly is good with he/him, but sometimes he prefers they/them and even she/her, which he's embarrassed about at first but he learns to accept those days and even relish them because of how fuzzy he feels inside when newt (and later, when he's feeling up to coming out, everyone else) uses his pronouns *satisfied sigh*

sleepover saturday said to tell u stories about my day so okay: I went shopping at the mall today and apparently delia's is going out of business, and the whole store was 50% off, so I snagged some really cute things, but I was also thinking about how excited nb!hermann would be, because there were so many super soft sweaters in nice pastels with like lace and bows and stuff and he would be so happy bc 50% off!!!!!!!

whaaat it's closing, but delia's has such cute jeans...I need to go take advantage of that sale too. omg, but Hermann in delia's. ahhh, he would LOVE it there. he'd be in his mid-20s by this point, so maybe he has the courage by then to take advantage of that sale! :D so much lace and pastel for our beautiful space champion~

any headcanons of what Hermann's favourite dresses look like? maybe some picture? :3

I got to google dresses for like a half an hour for this ask so thanks for that :D Hermann seems like he's a fan of older or practical styles, so I imagine he gravitates towards retro dresses like this or this (and, since those have come back, he is accidentally fashionable as a result, much to his own surprise;)), but he also has such a guilty pleasure for decadent gowns and the like. He'd never purchase them himself, but then Newt buys him this or even a toned down one like this and Hermann is just starstruckAlso...Hermann is a total wedding dress fanatic. Just saying ;)
