concept of love?

for someone like me

i’ve always imagined love to be

sunshines and rainbows,

flowers and mountains,

the taste of the sea and

the clashing of the waves.

but add billowing clouds,

thunderstorms,

rocky roads-

in the end they all feel the same,

perhaps worth the fight,

perhaps worth the pain.

when i say i love you, it holds every ounces of my being in those three words.

i love you; i love you; i love you.

and i still do.

as soon as it leaves the tip of my tongue, it feels as though half of me is already yours,

my heart has a sense of belonging when it comes to you,

even when it’s ripped in half,

i am yours.

here i trace the outlines of your face only with my eyes,

engraving you into my mind until you become an endless loop.

here i silently listen to your voice, how tones change depending on what you’re talking about,

how i come to fall in love with your existence.

how i come to fall in love with everything regarding to you.

late night talks on the phone while lying down on your own bed, just hearing their voice talk about anything and perhaps they just randomly sing a few verses of a song that they enjoy. both of you have a smile on your faces because it’s small peaceful moments like this that matters apart from the sweetness that you both provide each other, and they’re the last thing you think about before drifting off to sleep. you’re okay, they’re okay.

lips brushing against each other, skin getting warmer, fingers slowly intertwining, never pulling away. just us in our little garden, surrounded by many plants that we have planted together.

just another day of gardening and loving you.

one day we’ll hold each other’s hand without the fear of judgement, we’ll kiss in public with so much pride, so much love, so much respect for each other. we’d walk down the street without caring other people’s thought, we complete each other, my twin flame. us, against the world, together.

learning how to fall in love with myself like how i fell in love with the soft petals that we touched, and the delicacy remaining at the tip of my fingers. gingerly approaching the concept of self-love, if i can love you the way that i do perhaps i can do the same for myself.

i was thinking about what’s blessing to me and the first thing i thought about was you, having you in my life and you being mine is such a blessing to me. destiny has brought us upon each other and i am here to love you more & more as each day goes by, i appreciate you so much, thank you for your hardwork, thank you for existing and breathing and here to love me. i love you.
