[ 11:49 PM ] - love story by suran & crush
while admiring the stars, you were in mark’s arms out on his balcony. it was initially concrete, but he wanted to make a place for both of you to relax and unwind after a day’s work. you remember going to home depot and ikea to find things to decorate it, even pondering on taking the fake ikea-branded flowers home just for the aesthetic. mark would always beg to get the ikea meatballs while you simply dragged him away towards the soft-serve machine.
ha, 50 cents! you thought, what a good deal.
two of you had so much trouble laying down the fake grass and the soft blanket to go along with it that the balcony is simply three patches of turf in a sea of concrete. you loved how versatile the balcony was -- you could easily have a picnic in the day time (watermelon included) and then fall in love with the stars at night. overtime, the glass fences that surrounded the balcony were adorned with fairy lights and strings of pictures clipped on with clothespins. of course, it was aesthetic -- but most of your attention gravitated towards the night sky and the cool breeze. you and mark would have deep conversations here, with mark all sprawled out and you just laying with your head on his chest, or simply cuddling together under one blanket because the two of you were too lazy to grab hoodies inside the house.
snapping you out of your sentimental trance, mark randomly says, “ok so what if we had a fridge to keep all the watermelons up here?”
