I SAID THERE WERE HEADCANONS. I WASN’T LYING.
I like to think that, despite the fact that Oingo and Boingo tend to have to move around a lot due to their being so frequently on the wrong side of the law, N’doul always manages to find them before too long. He’s very good at it. So good, in fact, that the brothers have long since stopped being concerned about keeping in touch with him when they have to pack up and move, because they know it’s only a matter of time until he turns up on their new doorstep, usually uninvited and unannounced, but never unwelcome.
I also like to think that N’doul likes visiting them, even though their digs aren’t exactly the Ritz, because you can hang out in your socks if you want and not have to worry about anything for a while, and I like to think that N’doul asking Boingo to read to him is less for his own benefit and more to keep Boingo quietly occupied for a while so that big brother can take a nap on the battered two-seater couch that came with their latest apartment. Oingo can hear Boingo’s voice if he’s reading aloud to N’doul, so he can be content that Boingo is safe and sleep soundly.
I get the feeling that N’doul is a patient sort, and he knows that Oingo and Boingo will be there for him if he needs them - Oingo in particular has a very protective nature, and that tends to be how he shows his affection towards the little handful of people that he loves and trusts. N’doul can count on him.
The least he can do in return is help him out every now and again.
Might as well post but I had a bunch of other doodles i was doing yet my computer crashed and i lost it all : ( Luckily i took a screenshot of the one section I did finish so here, take it
