random dnd character concept I made. He's like, a bearded vulture necromancy wizard. neat.

I finished this around Halloween but wasn't happy with it, and I didn't have time to work on it again until now. Turns out what it was missing was some nice glowy particle bits!

I drew my dnd character turned Rook/Tav, Godwin! He’s a half wood elf necromancy wizard who was formerly a mortician. He’s currently an independent scholar and spirit medium for hire. He may be haunted by an Unspeakable Horror that stalks him from the shadows, but he doesn’t like to dwell on it. He’s a sprightly 85 (around 35 in human years).

He likes wax print waistcoats, interesting bugs, conversing with the dead over a cup of tea, and beekeeping in his local graveyard (he sells wonderful honey at the Thorntide Festival).

In Dragon Age, his partner is (unsurprisingly) Emmrich. In BG3, Gale and Wyll are vying for his heart.

Doing a d&d oneshot with my friends where we are all wizard students. This is my character Mavis who is a necromancer but since necromancy isn’t allowed at the school she studies “illusion” magic while learning necromancy in her free time. She’s a variant human and tbh I love her.

Lakynn doodles! Had our first campaign episode of Icewind Dale last weekend and when she arrived, she was surprised to see that this was not in fact her spring break vacation spot😬 she got on the wrong boat and ended up there lol

Spreading Plague

School: Necromancy

Casting Time: Action

Range: 60 ft., 15 ft. jump

Components: V, S, M (a tooth from a beast that died of disease)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Description: You conjure an invisible and intangible spirit that infects a chosen enemy with a sinister plague, then moves on to their allies. At the start of each of your turns, the spirit moves to another enemy within 15 ft. of its current host. It cannot move to the same enemy twice during its duration.

When the spirit attacks an enemy, that enemy must make a Constitution saving throw. Creatures immune to disease automatically succeed on this saving throw. On a failure, it takes 6d6 poison damage and becomes poisoned for 1 minute. While poisoned in this way, the target’s speed is halved. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half damage and isn’t poisoned.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 per slot level above 3rd.
