New OC for Critical Role campaign 4!
Cassander Seremai (he/him)
From the vassal house to Tachonis, house Seremai.
His age is in his mid twenties and he’s disabled, asexual, birromantic, and transgender.
The shield of the family, a highly trained shadow sorcerer who uses his cane as a both a spellcasting focus and a weapon since it’s also a sword.
The clothes he wears are tailored to be resembling a suit, but as his secret weapon is hidden, so is his light armor behind his own clothes. The jacket is modified to be really structured and doesn’t show the bulk of his protections.
He likes to appear as unassuming and non threatening as possible, utilizing his own disability (chronic fatigue due to a mysterious undiagnosed illness) to get his opponents to underestimate him.
Because of his condition, he is usually at Obrimus Manor coordinating and managing the Seremai family, while he surveys and works for the Tachonis. However, occasionally he will be sent somewhere on missions.
His priority is to protect and preserve house Tachonis, but his methods to do so are cuestionable. If a member of their own family puts the house at risk, Cassander will find a way to eliminate them.
He’s highly skilled and trained against magic users, especially other sorcerers. He also tries to avoid combat as much as he can and prefers underhanded methods such as murdering them in their sleep, long-term exposure to small doses of poison, etc.
His favorite members are Petra and Ryah, as he considers the twins to be the most capable of the main family and dignified members of the house. He really likes working with them and they take his opinions and input seriously as well.
He would like to get rid of Primus at some point, but he knows he’s his most difficult target ever, so he’s being very patient. He hates how reckless and single-minded Primus is, and considers him a liability to the longevity of house Tachonis in the future.
Occtis peeked his curiosity, as he thinks having other magical skill sets would be beneficial for the house. He has been running his own search for him in secret, so when Primus dies he can convince both Occtis and the twins to work together. However, if he discovers Occtis plotting against the house, he won’t have any mercy for him.
He has a very strong sense of loyalty. Because he was raised to protect house Tachonis he has no attachment to his own life, and he would sacrifice himself for the family in a heartbeat.
