Seemed yucky in the moment, but now I kinda wish I had

I always get annoyed when people look at how my animals are cared for and are just like "oh they are so spoiled haha you have a whole resort set up for them!" Like buddy...my animals have all their basic needs met and are able to perform natural behaviors. That's it. This shouldn't be considered going above and beyond for them or spoiling them. (Now don't get me wrong I would love to spoil them, if I could I would love to give daisy a full indoor outdoor aviary with live trees and a garden, or build a 10 foot indoor enclosure with a fountain and burrows for darwin, or full indoor pond for norbert, ect.) But people are so used to exotics being neglected they assume thats their basic care. It would be like someone seeing a dog with a good yard or daily exercise, toys/enrichment and regular attention. And saying "oh he's so spoiled, mines just in a bare crate. Sometimes I let him the yard but its just so inconvenient you know. I clean his crate out once a week so its fine." If someone said that you would be calling the ASPCA to report neglect!
